Hi, is it usefull to take my notebook with me and is it possible the reach the Internet for my room?
How save are the rooms?

Yep you can access the internet from the rooms. I dunno how safe the rooms r - whether laptops get knicked? anyone? Im gonna take mine anyhow cos i remember my friend craig who did the summer program complaining about long queues for the pods and slow internet - although they were getting broadband after he left...

 

I'm taking mine as well, as a way of keepin in touch with people as im also takin my digi camera 2 send pic updates haha.

but yeah i was wondering about the safety issue of the rooms etc, any help on that would b a great help!

hey i was wondering more about the energy. because of the different volt thing and plugs... notebooks are still charging as well as in germany?

 

me i'll take my laptop too, i know that for internet, we must take an ethernet cable

I have a mac, does anyone if my airport will still work?

 

i don't know for apple, perhaps i don't take good word, but in fact internet is with ethernet conneection so it's a special sort of cable, but i think that you can take your airport aplle, sorry i'm a windows slave, not apple!!

But i will buy an apple coz my windows xp and my laptop is tooooooooooooo shit!!

I'm a Mac User too, and what i can say is, we need a wireless connection to use our airport. if we dont have it, we can use our ethernet port provided in all Apple iBook (like mine) or PowerBook...its not the same, but it works very good too...

 

yeah, really good computers...Win sucks ;D

 

that's true windows have biiigg probllemmssss!!!!!!! but i've a laptop i'm happy i'll be able to chat with other cm when i'll in the commons or chat with family friend in france!!!!!!
