Moving

Hey,

Im living at the treehouses at the moment and just wondered whether anyone who has been there has ever been able to move?

 

I don't know anyone who moved last year and some people made a lot of fuss. You're not enjoying living in treehouses then?

 

yeah the treehouse villas are a terk....ive not stayed in them but when i was over there everyone was saying more cons then pro's about living there.

i would ask them if you want to move...they'll prob sort you something out some where else.

 

Went to see them today and they basically said nobody has ever been allowed to move once they were put there since the treehouses were opened for castmembers to stay in!

So doesn't look like i stand much chance, pretty shocking tho really, they just don't seem to care less about anyone they put here obviously, otherwise they wouldn't put us here, knowbody is really warned before they come that they could possibly be put here! I don't know of anyone who actually likes it, there's just nothing really good about it at all, i have the bottom floor room where you get a room to yourself with queen sized bed and tv etc, but i still hate it here!

 

Wow I have to say it really didn't bother me that much and most people had a great time last year. And you have internet and more buses this year right?

 

Yeah, but there unreliable and i just find the experience not as good, i mean there's no american people here and were supposed to be in america!!

 

I'm so glad I got put in Vista, I know someone who wants to move from Treehouses to Vista, but they told her the same thing, no one can change complexes. Then a couple of days later someone said you'd be able to change if you could find someone from Vista who wants to move to Treehouses. Then you'd just swich rooms/appartments. We tried to find someone to swich her with, but haven't found anyone yet. Not even sure if it's actually true though.

 

No.. that's not possible.. Last year there were many people from vista trying to move to Treehouse (yup! believe it!) and so many other tried to switch with them but they weren't allowed..
I had the same bottom floor room.. I liked it there once i got used to the creepy shadows at night haha..

 

Its a joke, putting us in the treehouses shows how much castmembers mean to disney, they aren't even anywhere near a respectable standard of living..Everytime i speak to someone at disney about them they either just go all quiet and try and change the subject or have nothing at all to defend themselves about it..

 

I think you just have to make the most of it and accept that either you live there or you go home. I wasn't happy living there at the begining but in the end I really didn't want to leave and I would be fine if I was living in the treehouses again.

 

I know what you mean..But i had such a good time last time, i think if you have never been before then you don't sort of realise how good chatham n vista are, but i lived at chatham last year and had such a good time, absolutely loved it, and now i've come to the treehouses and its nowhere near as good, its actually pretty awful compared to chatham to be honest, its just more as well i don't see why we pay the same as people in vista and yet we don't even get half the amount of things that they do? ???

 

Yeah I see what you mean. Vista and Chatham do look really nice. I think the treehouses have everything you need though the furniture is a bit old and worn out. Maybe they aren't as well looked after but i'm sure it'll be fine once you get used to it. Just try to remeber that you don't really spend that much time in the treehouses. You'll be working and partying most of the time.

 

I know yeah, but its so annoying to get everywhere, and i don't really feel like its much of an experience without american people here as well!

 

I don't really see why there are no american people living in treehouses.

 

I lived at the trehouses last year, it has its donwsides but I ended loving it. I wouldn't mind going back there.

 

Yup.. i lived at Chatham for the first 2 months of my program.. then on august 20th they sent me an e-mail telling me that since I worked on MK i had to relocate to Treehouse.. i must admit that my first reaction was crying like a maniac and being sooo pissed off haha!! but you know.. i ended up loving it too.. the appartments are much smaller and buses can be anightmare! (specially if you just wanna go to downtown disney!) but the movie nights were great and not so crowded and i could go home while on break hehe

So.. my advice is.. DONT FIGHT IT... just enjoy the rest of ur disney experience and make the best out of it

Tell them ill swap with them if they want! haha..Its not that i hate the treehouses, just the location and the transport is awful!

 

Are there american people staying at the commons? im 20 and apparently will be in the commons when i go over in december and just wondered are there americans based in the commons as well?

 

No it's just internationals. The americans live in Vista or Chatham.
