Hey, So this is a question for those who are already out there or by anyone that might know the answer. I was just wondering how much money i'll be getting a week and how much a week i'll actually be spending of it. Charlotte x x x
It depends completely on your hours (which is dependent on how busy the park is week to week). You'll make 6.90 an hour (unless your in a tipped position), and up to about $82 (if I remember the value correctly) will come off your paycheque each week automatically for rent, the rest is yours for whatever you wish (food would probably be the priority). If you work a 30 hour week you'ld have about $120 for you name after rent for the week. If you're doing the college program you can pick up extra shifts pretty much anywhere to get extra money, International program people cannot (or if you can it's a rare case since you can only work in your pavilion). Overtime (again if I remember correctly) is time and a half for any shift that you work more than 8 hours (all extra time will be time and a half) or for any time over 40 hours in a week. That would work out to 10.35 an hour. I'm not out there yet but this is the best I can provide for information. Tipped positions aren't really common and won't come until after a few months down there.
I'm down for $6.40 an hour... F&B get a 50 cents bonus, I believe. Don't ask me why or exactly who/what position get the bonus... I dont know. I do know that I get 6.40 KC
You will get $6.90 for the first 4 months OR SO!!! That TOTALLY depends on if your F&B and IF you get to know your menus and stuff!! AS SOON AS YOU GET THAT........you will move into your tipping position and that then turns you to $3.93 and then you would TOTALLY rely on your tips!!! Your RENT automatically comes out of your PAY which is GREAT but then you also have to worry about food and the important stuff!! With THAT being said......the one server that I was speaking with told me that she shops for groceries 2 weeks at at time and then LivES LaRGE!!! HAHAHAH She was telling me that she clears AT LEAST $200 a NIGHT as a SERVER!!! Hope this helps
weird cuz I know the powerpoint said 6.90 and hour and they didn't say anything about a different rate for anyone else. Maybe it's different (at least for Canadians) if you're on the IP or ICP
IPs have always been paid slightly more than CPs (or ICPs). ICPs are on $6.40 unless they are in QSF&B then they are paid the premium rate of a few more cents. Ona x
the canadian dollar is expected to hit parity with the us dollar in 18 months, this is good when us canadians head down to the world but its going to suck coming back
