Hi, I was just wondering what positions everyone was applying for? Either food & drink or merchandise? And your reasons why? Or if any previous cast members want to share some pearls of wisdom & shed some light on the job roles that would me great.

    Cheers x

    hi

    applying on monday

have been and done the program before in 2007 - il be applying for Food & Beverage again this time around

id say to apply for the position that you feel you have the most experience and interest in and take it from there

In F&B you have the option of getting to work in a tipped position and therefore there is the potential to earn a fairly large amount of money, this is not an option in merchandise so from a financial point of view you may want to think about how much money you will have to take over with you and if you will have any money from home during your year.....

both positions have pros and cons of course and during the application/interview process you get to state which position you would prefer but there is not guarantee that you will be offered your first choice....

    good luck for monday :)

I'm applying for merchandise- I've worked in a couple of different shop environments so I figured that's the area I have the most experience in, although I'd happily work in any position they offered me if I'm honest!

no,you only get asked about preferences during the face to face interview, you have to put them in order of what you would like to do best (between food & bev, merch and HRC)

they may ask something during the telephone interview but its usually not asked until the face to face.

I'm working on my CV just now! Call me stupid but where do you put your cover letter? Do you attach it to your CV?

you can either attach it to your CV and upload it as 1 file or you can copy and paste it into the box that says "motivation for taking part"

Yeah, you do research on guests family names and they can purchase crests and stuff. The only thing I don't like about this role is that you're an Operating Participant (basically meaning you get a green ID intead of a yellow one).
