I know that laws are a lot stricter in the US with over the counter medications than they are here in Australia. But just how strict are they? I suffer really bad hayfever and whilst I do get to have an entire year without it (Jan - August in Australia, and then August - december in Orlando), I'll probably require some sort of anti-histhamine...
I know you can take up to like 50 pills with you I think.. I would clarify the number but provided they have your name on the script you should be fine. I would imagine it would be a lot cheaper to get it from your doctor before you go
last time i went to the US i was there for three months and i didn't have any problems with my meds and that was well more than 50 pills. i think at that time i was on 3 different drugs and a single month for me would ave been 60 pills of one 30 of the second and about 90 of the third best people to ask would likely be when you get your visa
Usually they don't ask, when you have the bag full of pills (the didn't ask me, when I went over for the first time, and I had L-thyroxine for about four months with me). But I recommend that you ask your doctor for a paper, that explains, that you need the medicine and why, in case they want to know. It should be in english of course Then you should be fine with all your pharmacie Greetings, Chiyo from Germany
