Okay i read on here somewhere ages ago about people having to have a medical before they go. is this still something that happens? im wondering ebcause nothing is mentioned in our welcome pack or anything - anyone know? ta e
well,i dont s'pose this is something we need to have done before we go - other wise we would have been told about it,hope so anyway!!!! nah,i wouldnt worry about it,but email the team at yummy just to put your mind at rest...?
I think the medical is required only for those going to work in the cruise line...as IP we don't need to get it.... It was never mentioned during the presentation so I wouldnt worry....
You definately need medical for the first four months of the international program. They won't let you work until you do. At least that's what we've been told in Canada, and I can't imagine it would be any different for other countries since we're all going to the states and I wouldn't think Disney would pay for medical for some of it's cast members but not others in the same program. I believe the Cruise Lines are the ones where you don't need medical.
there was a note in the welcome pack that we'd need to see a medical advisor when we arrive though, and if you'd been hospitalised in the last 2 years you'd need a letter from your doctor. but i've not seen anything else saying you need 'a medical'. just insurance and a check on arrival i think.
how do we go about getting medical insurance anyway? there wasnt really anything said about it in the pack and i have never had to get it before so i dont really know what im doing!
theres a link in the pack for the insurence that yummy suggest we go with .... you can get to it via the yummy web site, you have to take out 4 months cover and then the disney cover kicks in,its all in the step by step guide that was in the welcome pack.
