hi guys im a former commoner from south africa and was wondering if you could tell me what the medical tests are? and what the hell is an assistant dining room server? cheers folks
Hi! You have to have a full medical if you accept a job with the cruise line. Meaning you have to have tests for everything even AIDS!!! Then when you are on the ship you are subject to random drug tests. I was unlucky to be picked one day. Lucky I hadn't been drinking too much the night before! Disney have some doctors in certain countries who will do the medical for you and then send the bill to Disney. They have two in the UK so I did that. But you can go to your own doctor and have it done then Disney will reimburse the money when you get to the ship. But it can be quite expensive. An assistant dining room server is basically the person who gets the drinks and helps the server bring the meals. As far as I know everyone who starts in the dining room starts as an assistant and then you'll usually get the opportunity to become a server. As an assistant you would work along side the same server moving around the 3 dining rooms during a cruise with the same guests. Means bigger tips as the guests get to know you better!!! Hi Laura, we are doing pretty well in Wonder Merchandise. Just made 30% QIP.. good, hmm? ;D... Luc left in June, Tirza just came back from Vacation, she is engaged now and will marry her bf in June next year. Dijana is Assistant Manager, was she already before u left? and right now Mary Jo is the "big boss". We all are looking forward when Paula is coming back. She is just awesome. RIght now we are in Nassau and 2 hrs ago we finshed the lovely crew drill. Oh its so annoying to stay one hour on Deck4. Tonite is late night nassau, but like always we have to work untill Midnight. I think nothing has changed since u left und u remember all the good and bad things here. I will say 'hi' to everyone from you.
