Hey everyone! So I am looking at applying to go for May 2010 or anytime after that! The only problem is I wont be 18 until November, so do I have to wait until then to apply? And if thats the case, am I too late to apply for May 2010? I sure hope not! If someone could let me know that would be great! thanks so much
I think whether not you can apply before your 18 is a million dollar question to be honest! It says on the website that you have to be 18 to apply.. But there are people on here who said they were younger when they applied..Best to ask yummyjobs really.. You definitly have to be 18 to go tho, as its one of the Visa requirements..
yeah I've looked everywhere to see if I have to be 18 to apply and haven't found it anywhere! but I'll be 18 long before I was to leave so that wont be a problem! If I can't apply until November will I still be elidgable to go in May 2010 or will I have to wait until 2011?
It depends on when they do the recruting/interviews. Right now it appears they are doing it twice a year in Canada. And I will assume from your awesome profile pic that you are from Canada. They are doing one set of interviews right now for departures later this year (July to December 2009, I believe) and will do the next set of interviews in the fall for departures in the first half of 2010. I am hoping to go anytime in 2010, so I am applying in July and will hopefully be interviewed in the fall. So if it ends up that you do have to wait until you're 18 to apply, then you'd have to wait until this time next year before you get an interview, and would result in a departure date in the later half of 2010... so I guess worst case scenario is you would end up going between July-December 2010.

hi i have the same problem! I wont be 18 until December but i emailed yummyjobs and they said if i was applying for the crp then i could apply in august( even tho im not 18 thn) for an earliest departure date of April 2010. I have asked them if it is the same story for the icp as i would rather apply to it for next summer but they havnt got bac to me yet.
Did you ever hear back if it's different for the ICP? Can't really see why it would be, but you never know. Also.... Is it August yet? I want to apply!!!!!!!!!!
I asked yummy jobs about it and they said you could do the CRP as a gap year. That means they must have applicants who are under 18 when they applie. In my opinion as long as you are 18 when you go their shouldn't be to much of an issue. however to do the summer programme you have to be enrolled in a university bummer!!!
