alright May 14th crew lol ... we have 4 days left! / ;D

so I enjoy leaving things to the last minute lol so i'm kinda putting all my stuff together and packing nowish. And i'm thinking about what exactly I should bring and what I should buy once I get to Florida and such... I've got the basics figured out.. clothes and stuff... I'm going to shoppers and buying stuff to start me off down there... like shampoo, face wash etc so I dont have to run out and do that as soon as I arrive... is anyone else doing that? or would it be easier to buy it down there?

we need black closed toe shoes for traditions right? I just went the standard black dress pants and nice collared shirts for traditions even though its gonna be so hot and i'll prob die in pants but whateves.

so then i've got all my electronic crap... camera, laptop and everything like that etc...

is anyone bringing sheets and blankets and stuff? I think I might bring a set of sheets but just buy a pillow down there. I figure cause it's gonna be so hot down there i'm not gonna want many blankets anyways though... what are you guys all doing about that?

I know the packing checklist goes through mostly everything you need to bring... but has anyone thought of anything else?? I'm majorly stressing over packing cause i'm so bad at it lol I always tend to bring too much but I just dont wanna forget anything that might be important haha

Good luck packing though! I'll talk to you all soon!

    shayna,
I'm deff in the same position as you. I really stress over packing. I'm bringing shampoo etc. with me, prolly enuf to last for a month. And I've also bought a sheet set and thin blanket to bring as well. I dont think i'm bringing a pillow just because i've got enough to carry as it is, a pillow may be akward.

For traditions I guess i'll probably do the same with black dress pants and just suck it up and sweat it out lol. All of my closed toe black shoes are like 3 inches high so i guess i'll have to suffer through that also.

I'm sure i'll probably forget something important but thats what our walmart trip is for right? lol

Anyway, Molly and myself will be arriving in orlando around 2:30 pm on sunday, so hopefully we'll all meet up shortly after! See ya soon!

i'm arriving at 3:00pm so we'll def hook up shortly after!! :)

question though... are you bringing a jacket for traditions too?? I'm wondering if I should or not. Right now I have black dress pants, shoes and white collared shirts but I was debating the whole jacket thing cause of the heat. Are you bringing a jacket??

I think that would be cruel and unusual for them to make us wear a jacket in that weather. I think as long as we dont look overly casual it should be okay. I mean I went out and bought a dress suit for the interviews and I found a lot of ppl werent nearly as "business formal" as I was.

I don't think that it's necessary to have a jacket... I brought one just to have one handy though.

I brought a pillow, a set of sheets and a fleece throw, but no comforter or anything of the sort. My pillow I just carried onto the plane though. I'll need to buy most stuff when I get there as I only brought a little bit of shampoo, soap etc...

I left for Montreal a couple of days ago, so I've already forgotten something, and that is my nalgene! Oh well, I can easily pick one up there. Another important thing I usually forget (but not this time) is a contact lens case and glasses. It sucks if you have to keep them in over night!

    Best wishes with packing!

Where does it say that we need black shoes? I didn't see colour listed anywhere for shoes.

in the packing checklist is says something about black dress shoes under the clothing section as something you should bring. I guess I assumed that was for traditions cause I didn't think there was anything else really formal that we'd need black, closed-toe shoes for if we're only there for three months so I just went with black to be safe. But I dunno maybe not... lol now i'm really not sure sorry!
