I know that martial arts is big in Florida, is there anywhere close that you can do karate or something along that line? I've been taking karate for a few months now, and would live to keep up with it!
I'm not sure about that, but I know that Disney sometimes have 8 weeks classes of different things... Last time I signed up for a Ju Jitsu class, but unfortunatley I never made it there... That was held at Mickey's Retreat!
I really hope something like that will be going on while I am there, although I would really love something permanent so I can expand a little LOL!
aww wow i was about to put exactly the same post up i'v been doing karate with a friend for 5 months now and was worried about getting out of shape and being rubbish again! awesome, def going for those then! x
What about at the hotels? Maybe the fancy ones have some classes that CMs can get in on? I know they have pretty fancy gyms so you never know....
oh my...i have a lot of family in orlando...and everytime i go to visit i see TONS of karate places....i would say it wouldnt be that hard to find a place near by....i also heard that disney has karate classes at mickes retreat....im not totally sure....but plenty of martial arts around
sounds good, I can't wait to see what my be available! I am also hopeful of a UFC event coming to Orlando or at least Florida that I can go see!!!!!!!
As I recall, UFC have never done a show in Florida. I know there are a handful of smaller promotions in the Florida area so it is obviously legislated there (unlike New York, hence why UFC has never done a show at the Garden!) If I get the job, I'm gonna try to catch as much MMA & local indy pro wrestling as possible! TNA impact every other week work permitting!
I've always wanted to try learning a martial art...but through university I've been fencing. I asked my cousin who did the program at Disney before if there were any 'fencing clubs' but he mistook my question for 'fancy clubs' and really got my hopes up! lol It would be cool to check out.
