Just wondering if anyone here, from Canada, had their interview on March 5th, 2006 in Toronto. If yes, has anyone gotten a call yet, letting them know about their departure date? or knows if you know if anyone else you know has heard anything? Thanks!
Oh yeah lots of people have from those interviews. THere was Montreal and Halifax aroudn the same time and we all got calls in late march with details. Some of us were waitlisted and others have dates. A lot of us waitlisted people are actually currently in Florida until Nov 10 where we'll still be waitlisted for the Year long positon.
I was waitlisted as well. Just wondering if anyone had received their start date yet. The waiting is a panic. ???
hmm its interesting because everyone I know that was waitlisted is here now, just not doing the pavilion work, were all in QS F&B in any of the 4 main parks, and some people just got attractions transfers.
Got that call on March 21st!! We were told that we would hear something around the 20th.....waited PATIENTLY and then made the call!! Eric told me that I was starting Dec.5th!! I DID ask for the late start date!! I wanted to make sure that I have enough time to get EVERYTHING done here at home!!
I got a call around that time, saying that I was hired, but was told that I was just waiting for my starting date! I have been waiting 'patiently', but could be waiting until January 2007 to go. :-\
Yeah Goofy everyone I knew in that position is here now. But were not doing the job we applied for, Eric assured us we'd still be on the waitlist when we got back until March. It wouldn't hurt to e-mail him to check on your status.
I was at the March 5th interview and am leaving on december 5th. I totally think you should e-mail them and just get an update. No harm in showing them you are still interested. I wish I could have gone for the 6 months with you Jorden! I could have done that and then leave on december 5th. That would have been awesome. Goofy: I hope everything goes alright! Let us know if you e-mail cast-a-way *Emily*
Yeah Emily I think the reason you didn't is simply because they had a date for you and this was a way to get those of us without dates a positon... Although a lot of people on this program are hating their food positions (not necissarly food work in general) and won't be back for the year... most of us got transfered to attractions as well reciently.
No way!! Attractions, thats so cool! Now I really wish I could do that. Are you on an attraction? I want to be in Disney World, I think a vacation is called for....
Hey guys, I just e-mailed Eric (cast-a-way) today, just to get some more information on my situation...I'll keep you posted and let you know what he says! Thanks, Goofy
Actually YES I did just get moved to an attraction! I was (and atm still am) doing Out Door Foods in Epcot (think the carts scattered around the park) but on Monday I begin training for... MISSION SPACE
OH MY GOD ...... JOrDEN.......this is AMAZING news!! CONGRATS DUDE!! You see....you waited long enough.....NOW look where your headed!! keep us posted on that!! So happy for ya my friend!!
WHOA!! Thats soooo cool! Congrats Jorden!!! Maybe you can be the person who hands out the puke bags!! ;D That really is amazing, congrats again! *Emily*
No need to hand out puke bags... they've got handy pouches in the centrifuges . It's pretty exciting thats for sure, and knowing that I'd never get an opportunity like this in Canada (which I'm still waitlisted for and still very likely to come back for) I HAD to jump at it. Biggest downsides are next Tuesday wednesday and Thursday I have training at 6"45 in the morning! (Probably because then I get a couple hours with the ride before the park opens). Followed up by a 9AM-10PM shift next Friday! (Open-Close). Oh well it's SOOOOO worth it!
