  2. Thanks for putting this up. From what I can see the complexes are pretty close to where I have stayed on holiday before and where my family are staying when they come in August.

It got worse over time...you should have seen the state of it when we left. Though we did manage to get it cleaned in time for all the apartment checks during the course of our stay ::) ;D

There sure are, they are more on the Disney side of I-4, but without a car (or taxi) they are really hard to get to. Most of them are situated around and above the Crossroads area, but even Crossroads is a pain to get to. Sidewalks that connect all the areas are very hard to find...and I don't recommend walking because of the lack of pavement, and very busy traffic!

Feel free to send me suggestions to add to the map, I will gladly add them for you :)

you don't have to add it to the map but about how far is Universal Studios and the Florida Mall from WDW?

Well, I think if you go by car yourself you can reach Universal Studios in some 20 minutes from your apartment complex if you don't get caught in traffic. Same thing for the Florida Mall.

If you'd take the I-ride trolley towards Universal (you need to get off around Wet'n'Wild) and walk for a bit... I think you need to at least double your travel time, the cost for cast members to use the I-ride Trolley is 25 cents though. Bargain! But I wouldn't really use it on my own...the walking part is not so cool and can feel a little unsafe if you go there alone when walking back to the I-ride, during the day it is no biggy since there are a lot of activities around. There is always the option of a taxi for your return journey!
The I-ride also calls at SeaWorld and you can catch it from its starting point at the Premium Outlets or 1 stop later near the Publix/Walgreens/Subway area.

I have never used the Lynx buses so I really can't tell you how long it will take you if you'd use them to get to the mall or Universal or how much it would cost you.

I do believe I did map both Universal and the Mall for you :)

  13. yeh its a pain in the behind. When we go on holiday we stay on the Disney side of the I4 and when ever you want to go to the other side of it you have to go right round in a circle to get to the other side of the road. It is especially irritating when you know that if the sidewalks were easier to find and better located it would take you five minutes to get to. My family are coming and staying in one of the hotels up from cross roads and to know that they are 10 minutes away by walking (which will be impossible) is even more annoying.
Its a blumin long road that I4 as well stretching from one side of the state to the other!

thanks so much for the info. I definitely plan on going to Universal a couple times if i get accapted to the program. And Sea World :) I'm just worried about getting there and stuff but I'm sure it'll work out. I've heard bad things about the bus service but it can't be that bad right??? ;)

The lynx buss takes a little over an hour to the mall. I don't necessarily think it's too bad, because you usually go with someone or you can just bring a book and your ipod... I think the bus cost $1,50. I know it's not far to go if you take the the I-ride to Sea World, but I don't remember if I ever took the trolley or the buss to Universal though...

I don't think it's too bad to walk to crossroads either, it takes about 30minutes to get there by foot. But we often went there straight from work with kojak.

Who or what is Kojak? Or does that question make me dumb?

We were in Orlando around the same time...but I really don't recognize anybody from your video :( then again, I was ICP and lived in Chatham and you were CRP and lived in The Commons. And I was there only 1 semester, and you 1 full year.

I see you are going back, congrats! Go make magic!

Wow, no I have never heard of the dude, nor have I ever seen his van driving around. I don't know if I should feel ashamed, but this truly is the first ever time I've heard of Kojak. :-\
Very cool he has his own Facebook group though. Oh, and congratulations on Norway's win today in the Eurovision Semi Finals, we didn't get through. The Dutch are really not doing very well on that contest, haha.

Thanks. Too bad you didn't get through on the eurovision. I'm happy Norway did though, because I just love that song :D
