Hey just curious since I've heard people mention that money is a bit of an issue while working at Disneyworld. If we work a full week (40+ hours) what can we expect to have left over after rent and food every paycheck? Will I be able to save a decent amount of money? Not that it really matters cuz it's Disneyworld! I"m just curious.
mhm, you won't be making loads of money working for the mouse, unless you're a server. working merch, attractions, or food before getting into service, you usually end up with about $150... it later depends on if you choose to buy insurance through disney, and if so, what kind. if you spend your money wisely, you could actually save a bit. However most people are there to have fun, so come friday the moneys gone (paychecks come on thursdays)
Most of my friends and I found that saving money wasn't really an option if we wanted to do all the things Florida has to offer. We all worked between 35 & 48 hours a week and always had enough money to have fun and do everything we wanted. We just didn't bring any home with us! It does depend on what you do though, lots of people want to do sky diving and discovery cove which are quite expensive, also depends how much you spend in the malls. I was merchandise and found it very easy to live once I had paid rent.
Yeah I'm really not counting on banking a whole lot of money I was just curious if after rent and groceries Id end up sitting at home going I can't afford to do anything. lol
I saved up a lot of money before I went to Disney, which I am glad I did! That way I managed to pay back Disney for my flight ticket right away, instead of having it reduced from my paycheck every week, and I guess it also helped that I had my own insurance the entire program, instead of the Disney one.. ---u'll def. have money left after rent and groceries, unless you go very crazy with the groceries And if you need more money one week, you could always work more hours! Just put in a request to "extend" when you get to work, or sign up to work on your days off...
