Magic Kingdom Open until 3 am!

Last night the magic Kingdom was open until 3 am!!

It is part of the new extra magic hour, where a park either opens 1 hour early or closes 3 hours later for resort guests, and last night the magic kingdom was open until midnight, with an extra 3 hours for resort people!

i read on a college program forum that some of them wern't too happy working from 8pm - 3am !

 

Oh wow, great for guests, no so great for castmembers, i cant imagine doing a shift that long, very tiring!

Magic Kingdom was open until 12 it closed at 9pm regulary. Never open that late.

posted on wednesday 'it depends on what time the park closes. for instance, the magic kingdom is open until midnight tonight, and then there are three extra magic hours for resort guests until 3am. which means i'm working from 8pm - 5am'

'll rides were walk on starting about 12:30am. Kids had a wonderful time, and while I suspect I won't be able to move much tomorrow (got damp at night), I am so glad they had it. The cm's all felt it would be continued.
The ride in the tram to our car, was won of the funiest rides all evening. The cm was soo funny. Our two cars were the only ones in the lot at 3:15.'

 

Don't blame people for being annoyed having to work til that time. Usually the park only does that on New Years and Special events. Still the shift itself is only 7 hours long and some people work 10 hour shifts in the resturants in EPCOT which are really hard.

 

I've worked Extra Magic Hour...it's SO MUCH FUN!
You get to goof off because there are fewer families, so you can have fun. I danced with people, played with Pluto, tap danced...I was just really silly. And because it's at night, it's cooler, so you have more energy

 

had to work really long, late shifts on new years, and it's not that bad, well, at least if you don't have to do it every day! i can imagine the extra magic hour being quite fun...like robyn said, less guests so you can really interact with them...and i would really love to go to the parks at that time of night!!

Hey Gals and Guys,

I do remember about 10 or so years ago.
The MK closed till midnight, I do not know if it was a summer special time.
But when I went back in 2003
It closed at 9pm.
I loved the MK until midnight, most of the attractions were empty.
and u could get double Spectro Magic.
