    Hey Guys;
Quick question. How did you like living with your roomies for the year? Did you live mostly with people from your country? Was it hard to get along with them? How many people did you live with?
    Share your experiences! :)

yeah I want to hear from people about this too!
I think it's kind of luck of the draw from what I've heeard though - but equally many people have v different schedules to their room mates so it didn't matter so much

Id be very interested in the answer to this question as well. Also will we be placed with ppl who have all arrived around the same time or as u said, were just put where theres an empty space?????

that's what i was wondering too! Depending on the answer to that question I'll know if i'll have the same roomies for the whole year or if somebody might leave and be replaced! :p
Also is the accomodation mixed or what?

From what I can gather all the accomodation is single sex and you will be assigned where there is a space...this could mean living with someone who starts when you do if there are two spaces in one apartment, but chances are your roomates will have all different start/end dates so during your stay you could get to live with a wide variety of ppl.

And of course it will be mixed nationalities so we get a cultural experience as much as the disney guests!

I think thats kinda how it works judging grom the discussions on other threads...I hope it is like that cos that way you get to meet way more ppl from all over the world. :)

yeah, but then if you become close to someone it's going to suck when they leave :(

The single sex part makes no sense!During the presentation they said that as long as you stay in your building you can spend the night where you want - so that if you start a relationship or something you can spend the night with them. Or with a friend, or whatever.
So why not make mixed accomodations to begin with?

The apartments are same sex, but the building in which your apartment is in will be mixed, so guys could be living next droor or across from girls...you could stay in another perosns apartment if you live in the same complex however if you were in the commons and wanted to stay at someones in patterson, you have to be out by 1am! sucks, but there are ways around it...lol! I did ICP for 3 months last year, I was lucky as my room mate was on ym flight and english and we got on really well, i also lived with a hong kong guy that was on the same program but another guy from chicago was on a year program and left in july so for the most part there was just the 3 of us in the apartment!! You do just get put where there is room, they try, i think, to put you with at least one person from the same country, but the other people could all be from france, canada, mexico, all over!!! Its hard to adjust, cos if you dont get on with all ure housemates it can be astrain, but if your unhappy and you know of someone who has room in their apartment you can try and change!!! plus if there are like 6 people in an apartment and 4 of them all leave at the same time, you could get moved to another apartment because there is a silly rule that if the apartment is less than 50% full or sumthing the other people have to move, unless that apartment gets new tenants really quickly, and also when a person leaves the locks get changed, so many people were locked out cos of people leaving and them changing the keys cos the person with the universal set of keys only is at the complexes at certain time sof the day!!! I got locked out!! lol! annnnoooyyyiiinggg!!!

    not fun!!

I'm not sure if it's a good or a bad thing that you could change room mates a few times during the year :-\ i guess it depends on how well you get on with them

It should be the procurement ally that helped arrange/conduct your interviews that you would contact. I believe for Germany it would be this:

France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Norway
INTERNATIONAL SERVICES 9 rue Dupleix 56100 Lorient FRANCE

    Tel: +33 2 97841114 Fax: +33 2 97840422 e-mail: wdw@internationalservices.fr
