    Hello!

I've been looking into the accommodation and stuff and think it all looks quite lovely... and I have no issues sharing a room with someone - ive done it many a time!

However I've been speaking to a couple of people who have done it previous years... and I'm just a little concerned as they've given me the impression that people might be coming onto one another a lot... if u get my drift... and have been told that certain accommodations are a bit more 'slaggish' than others.

I have NO intention of doing anything like that whilst i'm there... but I've never really seen this aspect addressed on these forums before and it was just something of concern to me.

Can anyone reassure me with this who has done it before... or is it indeed a horn fest amongst castmembers?? Particularly entertainment staff?

Vista Way does have a certain reputation and you do hear horror stories about people who share rooms with people who don't seem to have any boundries about what they do with other people, with other people in the room
You'd have to be really unlucky to end up with one of those people as a roomie!

I think it just depends on the type of person as to what can happen with other castmembers. If you're looking for that kind of thing then it is definitely very easy to find, but then it is easy enough to stay away from it too! Entertainment does have a bit of a reputation as well, but i think it's the same with each role. I was in Merch and it did seem like there were certain people sleeping with lots of other people in the same role! I think people just socialise with the people they work with! It's just like any other work place that employs a lot of young people!

Basically, you can avoid the horn fest if you want to!!

haha...Oh yes, it is all happy and bouncy and childish....on stage in front of guests, what goes on backstage is a whole other thing!! ;)

Yeah you are in single sex apartments, but the apartment blocks are mixed sex, and there are a lot of parties and obviously you work with guys and girls! When 2 CP's get together there aren't very many places for them to go where they can be alone because they both have roommates, so they improvise! I do know one or two people who woke up to some interesting things! :-X

It does depend who you live with tho.. I was in Vista Lay, oops I mean Vista Way :p and my flatmates were nothing like that, my block didn't seem like the party block either which was quite good considering I was coming home from work at 3/4am most of the time!! ;D

LOL, I was same as you when I went in 2008 and to be honest, even now I am 21 I will probably just choose not to drink, I don't miss alcohol much! And it's really not all about everyone getting it on with each other... I think there have just been occasions of it here and there :p

haha, this age has put a smile on my face. Yes there are those sorts of situations, but you it is not going to happen to you unless you want it to. The thing with something happening in the same room as you, that can happen, but just hope you have a nice roommate or tell me to do it somewhere else.

I went through the summer without any alcohol fine, i missed it but i did not need it. I had so much fun just going to the parks and visiting friends and going to the cinema. Was such a good summer and there is so much to do.

Yeah I don't think I'd miss alcohol so much. I really hate going to work with a hangover and with the few days off you get, I'd try to make the most out of them and visit the parks as much as possible :p No time to have a headache and stay home watching TV!

yeh but do u kno if we get a tv in the flat? cos sometimes espesh if ur working 60 hours a week, its nice to have a lazy day off like just laying in bed and watching tv =P

plus i was actually debating taking my xbox just cos the headset enables practically free calls so i'd save a whole load of phone bill and be able to speak to my bf even if it was just 5 mins a day :) x

No, the apartments don't come with a tv, unless you move into one that already has people living there who might have bought one before you arrived.

You could bring your xbox if you've got room, but if you're bringing a laptop then i'd recommend downloading Skype so that you can talk to people for free. That's the only way i spoke to my family while i was away and i saved a lot of money!

Here's the link to download it http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/dow...259275977&JTID=112007076&OGID=173&network=GAW

You can use it to IM people, chat to people as you would on the phone, and if you have a webcam you can have video convos! It was so great to have!! Tv's are really cheap in walmart! We were lucky in our apartment, there were 6 of us and one of the girls knew someone who was finishing their program so we bought their tv for about $14 each ;D
