Linen!

Hi!

I have a question about linen. I am taking my own out to Florida with me but was just wondering exactly what I should take! Im guessing I will be taking a fitted sheet, pillow, pillow case and a quilt cover but will I need to take a quilt aswell? I know it sounds a bit silly because im sure I will but im just thinking that it will take up a lot of room in my suitcase! I don't suppose that it is something that they provide. Would you recommend taking one or buying one at Walmart?

I don not recomend taking a quilt!!!!!
i think they supply those,i am goin to buy linen! ,wud be perfectly fine to take pillow cases and covers,but i dont think u should take quilt cover take up to much room!!and u need that room for disney goodies!!! ;D

and wall-mart has everything!!!!if i cant get linen from disney itself i will go wall mart and get an disney cover !!!very cheap there!!!or even spongebob cover lol!!

 

I can remember Julie said at the interview that if you didnt want to take your own linen then you can buy a set made yp when you get their, I don't think I will be taking a quilt only because it will take up too much space.
Wall mart has everything tho ;D

I love wall mart, Its the same company as asda now and has everything you will want..... within reason lol

 

Hey Steph only a few weeks more for you! Hope the planning and goodbyes are going ok. On topic of linen - make sure your sheets arn't fitted as american beds are slightly bigger. Normal none elastic single ones work fine.

Disney offer bedding packs you can buy for when u arrive but they are reused! So most people take a blanket and sheet etc for first night then buy a comforter etc (american duvet) at Wal mart (love that store too!) the next day.

OKie, i didn't bring anything down with me, i got it all at wallmart, and you guys may think that you don't need a quilt, but let me remind you we have Air conditioning, in all the apartments and if they dont' work they get fixed in the next day, so you wake up SOOOO cold, so i would recomend you get a quilt i have 2 blankets on my bed, cause your roomates are all different, and some like it really cold and some like it hot, I live in a apartment with 8 gurls, trust me, that hot and cold is going up and down ALL the time.

Hey Steph. I do recommend iu to buy it here.
U travel lighter and u have more space in ur suitcase.
U can buy the linnen kit when u get here
for 60 bucks, or buy it the next day at Wal Mart.

lol linz winter woolies i hate 2 b too cold as well! yeah non-fitted sheets r the way to go *already got some at home, 2 or 3 colours* lol, so im takin them, and ill find somethin to cover me for the first nite! then ill b walmartin it, probably spending money on everythin but essentials lol! cant wait for that first trip there as an 'independant woman' lol will be an experience for sure!

Thank you all so much for your replies, they were very usefull! I brought some flat sheets today but I am going to wait until I get to Wallmart for the quilt - it will take up too much room otherwise!

Practically finished all of my shopping today which was good and I also brought my suitcases so I feel like I am really getting there now!

Yeah I really am excited! It all seems a bit unreal! I have got so much on between now and when I go that the time is just going to fly by. Hopefully I will find out about my flight today!
