So, your accepted.......which pavillion are you MOST looking forward to re-visting or visiting for the VERY FIRST TIME??? ??? For me....MOROCCO!! can't WAIT!!! LOVE IT! ;D ;D
I've never been, but for some odd reason, I have a really big attachment to the "Canada - A lifetime journey" song... as for food, any food is good!
The food in Morocco is lovely; so to in Mexico, and France. Outside of Epcot, the Hollywood Brown Derby!
food food food! my favourite subject! I think my favourite 3 restaurants in EPCOT have to be in 3rd place chefs de france 2nd place alfredos 1st place and where i take everyone... Le Cellier! LOVE IT! However, the best and most classic dish in any walt disney world theme park or hotel... chicken fingers with lashings of honey mustard sauce..... MMMMMMMMM! love it! My favourite pavilion would have to probably be Italy when they used to do the masqueredes, Mexico (for cooling down!) and American Adventure attraction... love the song golden dreams! Nick
You might be the first person I've found who isn't American and enjoys the American Adventure. I'm no longer alone
I can't comment on American Adventure as i've not been to WDW for a number of years and don't think I did that attraction, However I am very fond of Golden Dreams at Disney's California Adventure which I understand is a similar style of attraction but based on specifically California rather than America as a whole... Came out wanting to be Californian lol Colin
haha yea im canadian and i love the american adventure... mind you im a neoconservative, wannabee republican, bush lover whose obssessed with american history so.... anyways for food, some of my favorite/least favorite food spots in the world Epcot: Japan, France, canada, the spinning restaurant in the land Mgm: The brown derby, is there one called hollywood and vine? Magic kingdom: of course cinderellas royal table in the castle animal kingdom: the rainforest cafe just outside the door Downtown disney: rainforest cafe, and the restaurant with a nautical theme down by the water At a hotel: chef mickeys, dying to try v and a's at the floridian but cant justify the 100 dollar price tag per person I also love the turkey legs available in a number of places (eat em all the time at mgm) Finally if everyone can, i would really reccomend trying to go to the hoop de doo review at fort wilderness campground... it is absolutely hilarious, the foods good, and with a bunch of friends it'll be a lifetime of memories all in itself
hoop-de-doo musical revue is amazing - great delicious food... and aheadache from the boards at the end!! If we're talking food from around the resort: BOMA - at Animal Kingdom Lodge is amazing! Real good buffet food with an african theme 1900 PARK FAYRE at grand floridian, dunno if they still do the villains dinner, but that used to be great (think its pooh and friends now) Chef Mickeys is great fun - another buffet at the contemporary resort.... and whilst on the subject of the contemporary resort *** CALIFORNIA GRILL *** The MOST amazing dining experience - on the 15th floor of the contemporary resort - provides an amazing view of the magic kingdom and WISHES fireworks in the magic Kingdom. The food is FABULOUS and the service second to none - if you ever want to treat yourself and go all out, this is the place - and it should be done at least once when you are a wdw. Cosmic Rays in the magic kingdom does the best rotisserie chicken and mash potatoes.... mmmmmmmmm 50's prime time cafe at Disney Studios (and eat it all or mom will tell you off!!) and another AMAZING dining location, its a third party - but Wolfgang Pucks at Downtown Disney - great food. Any steak lovers... yaughtsman steakhouse at the beach club.... oh im such a foodie... dont get me started on the EPCOT Food and Wine festival!!
People who don't like the American Adventure are probably the same ones who don't appreciate people having American flags in their front gardens, singing the national anthem before all sports events, and just generally being far more patriotic than most of the rest of us. Sure it's a bit sappy, but we could all learn a lot from the Americans - there's no harm in being proud of where you're from. Besides, Disney is American, and after all they've given to the world, no one should begrudge them the opportunity to indulge themselves a bit.... As for food, I'm no great connoisseur, but just sit me down in the Main Street Bakery and bring on the cookies....
ive only spent a total of about 2 weeks down there but heres a few places i want to try out: boma chef mickeys 1900 park fair morocco le cellier chef de france citricose cosmic ray hollywood and vine hopefully victoria and alberts things to do again: the brown derby (i really want to do lunch with an imagineer) rainforest cafe hoop de du review
I'm so the opposite of a foodie (soooo fussy! ) buuuuuuut there are so many amazing places to eat in WDW that I am never stuck! The only countries I haven't eaten in in WS are: Mexico (love the restaurant but alas just too fussy for the food :-\) Italy (just don't fancy it) Japan (soooooooooooooo want to....must do....must do...) France (again don't fancy it... am I mad lol ). I love the quick service restaurant in Japan. Japan is my favourite pavilion in general. The teriyaki chicken there is awsome! Some other favs: TURKEY LEGS! ;D Casey's hot dogs ;D The random Norwegian jelly baby type sweets. An Itzakadozie! Chocolate fudge cake from the Main Street Bakery...mmmmmmmmmmmmm... And Nick you are so right.... chicken strips rock! ;D Ona x P.S.I love the American Adventure too (excpet for the fact that Alexander Graham Bell is rather less Scottish than he was lol ;D).
Boooooooooooooooooohhhhhh.... turkey legs... they are so disgusting.. sorry ona.... :-[ I agree with Japan... it's a must do.. also liked the Canadian Restaurant, the Norwegian but I heard they have changed many things, so don't know about it now... They also say that the food got worse at Alfredo's Restaurant (Italy)... and chinese quick service... we always walked into the kitchen there and got our lunch, had a chat with the manager... dani
ate at Mexico and NOT to offend anyone but I HATED IT!! SORRY!!! I had some chicken with chocolate?? HATED IT!! So spicy and this little girls tummy has NO ROOM for spice!! HAVE to try Japan and of course Chinese but CAN'T WAIT to do Morocco again.....YUM!! Of course I will be working Le Cellier so I think I will get SO tired of it!! HAHAHAHAH
Now I'm extremely liberal, totally a Democrat, and not anything like a Bush lover. American history, however; that I find interesting. I also have some problems with patriotism from my globalist perspective. So maybe my liking of the American Adventure is devoid of rationality. But I like it so I'm sticking to it
not to offend anybody but the chinese pavillion did not have what id call top notch chinese, i ate there and was a little dissapointed and found it interesting that the unnofficial guide (now thats something i really like) said that most people find the food at the china pavillion overpriced and not up to par with what most people are used to in terms of chinese food, it mentioned some other off site cninese places but said that all in all orlandos not the best place to go for this style of cuisine... i eat chinese food a few times a month here in calgary but the food at the pavillion is definitely not what i am used to also i am interested in the food at norway (i believe thats where they used to have the cold buffet before) since it apparantly has gotten much better on ICP can you do full service food and beverage? i know you can on IP but could an ICP do full service during there 3 months or are they limited to QS f and b?
