    Hey

Just wondering if the international program is only a year long, or if it could be longer or shorter, like I read somewhere that you could eaither go for 6 months or 12, is this true???

hey, from what i can gather from this site the I.P is between 3-6 months and its for college/uni students (i guess its like a work experience thing)
the cultural rep program is 1 year long,no more,no less. its open to anyone, whether they have been to uni/college or not.

International program (from what I can gather) is 1 year, but you might be able to extend for up to an extra 3 months

I've applied to do the summer work programme, which is about three months long, basically during the summer break of university. You have to be a student to do that one though, and be going back to university for two months after you finish the programme.

I was under the impression it was either a 6 or 12 month programme, we were certainly told that, but you can't extend with the 12 month one due to the visa your given, you have to return home after 30 days from program closure.

I guess you can extend on the 6 month one, anyone like to confirm?

I've heard of people extending up to 3 months on the 12 month program on this site.

Fair enough, i was unsure before of the fairly strict visa issues, i wasn't sure if canadians or locals would have a problem but us UK students have been told theres no chance we can extend :(

I guess it depends but I thought it was UK peoples posts I was reading...

Then again the UK pavilion is really full now (as evidenced by no interviews for a year), and you can only extend when they need extra people.

Fair play, i'm going purely on what YummyJobs have told me,lol, maybe there are ways around it ;), yeah its a very popular course/choice over here, not really surprised its booked out so quick!

maybe the academic program has no possibilities of extending? but u can definately extend on the Q1 visa which is the visa u will have if u are on the cultural rep program, ur visa is valid for up to a total on 15 months but ur contract is only for 12 months, and then u can travel for a month. or u can extend and work for disney for the full 15 months, but this rarely happens.

yeah it would be difficult to extend on the academic one due to most UK courses starting again in early to mid september, extending would mean you'd be back about August/September time which would leave no time to sort uni work etc out maybe? I'd like to do the 12 mth one then maybe extend, really depends on if i've got the case to travel i guess :)
