    Hey everyone

    Just a quick question:

To ppl already there - if you took a laptop with you, did u put it in ur case or carry it on as hand luggage?

To those going - how are you taking your laptop?

Im just asking coz im abit worried abt the security of putting it in my suitcase (as some arport staff are perhaps not as careful/ gentle with luggage as they could be!!), and worried it could take weight over the allowance, but dont really want the hassle of having to have it as carry on (plus if i put it in the overhead locker il prob end up leaving it there! :-[ accidently of course!).

    Any suggestion?

With all valuable stuff you bring, I'd take it as hand luggage. At almost all airports they are not to gentle with luggage handeling, they may lose your bag, it might rip or break, and sometimes somebody reaches in and steals something :(. So...I would say make your laptop carry-on luggage, better safe than sorry.

If you don't want to forget your laptop you may want to place a sticky note on the (closed of course) tray-table in front of you with a reminder on it (wouldn't write laptop on it though, thiefs travel as well). Or think of something else to help you remember that you shouldn't forget your luggage. Perhaps it is a more dangerous place, but you could also put it under the seat in front of you although when the aircraft makes some moves and it may slide away or to the person in front of you. Or you step on it by accident. I do hope you have a sturdy laptop case though. ;)

    'Hope this helpes!

My laptop will always be kept on my person. There's no way I'd risk it in with checked baggage - as you say, airport ground staff are hardly gentle with it!

I will take my lap as hand luggage, it´s better because in the airports some times they hit the luggage or something, they also open them and they can stole some stuff... buy a backpack for laptop and carry it with you.... I think is better.....
and also I want to introduce me,.... I´m mona, from mexico.... I will arrive on June 29 ....

Yeah my laptop will be coming on as hand luggage. I trust the baggage handlers with my clothes etc...but certainly not my laptop! Just extra peace of mind for you as well as you fly, not good to be worrying the whole time about if your laptop is in the planes hold....or if some childish baggage handler is sat back in the airport on your MSN!

It is also a good idea to take all of your money and traveller's cheques in your hand luggage. On one occassion at Orlando Immagration we were asked to prove how much money we had with us, a bit difficult to do if your cases are still being unloaded, just saves a bit of time.

of course.... all your treasures jajajaj should be on your hand luggage .... if they lost your luggage you will only need to buy cloths.... but not lost expensive things like your lap or your money of course.... if your cloths are gone... you will need to buy new ones.. and thats kind ok cool jajajja
