Languages?????

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Princess Tessa, Aug 15, 2005.

  1. I am Canadian, and only speak english (I was homeschooled through elementry and most of high school so I never took french...)

I really love languages and learning cultures etc, I was wondering if in the commons there was ever a chance to learn languages since there are people from all over the world. That would be a great way to bond with the people and learn at the same time :)

There's a learning centre at every park for Cast Members where you can take out books, tapes, dvds etc.....you might be able to get some language specific learning stuff from there.....or else just get in with some of the 'non english as a first language' people and ask them to teach you!!!

Spanish would be useful to know cos there's lots of Mexican guests.....I wish I spoke it better...and French!!

I speak English and French fluently, and German almost fluently... I am currently learning Spanish (by working at Disneyland Paris and having a friend of mine speaking to me in Spanish). I really enjoy learning new languages !

Your roomies are a great resource for learning languages...or at least some words. I can wish you a Merry Christmas and say Good Night to my car in Norwegian.

You know I believe there should be a subject for eache language where you can put most common words and sentences that the guests can ask such as:

"Where are the toilets?" "Where is this attraction?"
Left, Right, Straight ahead, Behind us, etc...

Well if you can teach me a few spanish words and write them on the board it would be nice...
Working at DLP is teaching undirectly how to speak Spanish !

I've been wondering: does disney have classes with language teaching?
Because here in the DLP, there are classes where you can learn different languages !

hehe, ja, marco, du slutter aldri å forbause oss med din eksepsjonelle norsk kunskap...
men det er digg det da , at du kan litt, så vi kan kommunisere utenom engelsk ;D ;D

yeah, it's very easy to learn... we had an exchange student once, and he learnt the whole language in about three months.... he was this super geek as well... but anyway... :p ;D
