Hi, I think you're missing "please" in Italian which can be either "prego" or " per favore" according to the situation. The rest is perfect, good job!
It's been a few yeras since I've needed to know Japanese (went to tokyo back in 2000), but I believe this is correct. I found these on a website and most refresed my memory. I know the Thankyou listed below is Thank You Very Much in English. But I can't remember what just thank you is. It's either Domo or Arigato (I believe it's Arigato) either way Domo Arigato works . Theres some old 80's so that goes Domo Arigot Mr. Roboto so that can help you to pronouce it if you're familiar with the song. I've never herad the informal goodbye personally, or the please (request) but these should help anyway. Hello is Konnichiwa (kon-nee-chee-WAH) Goodbye. (long-term) Sayōnara. (sa-YOH-nah-rah) Goodbye. (informal) Sore dewa. (SOH-reh deh-wah) Yes. Hai. (HIGH) No. Iie. (EE-eh) Please. (request) Onegai shimasu. (oh-neh-gigh shee-moss) Please. (offer) Dōzo. (DOH-zo) Thank you. Dōmo arigatō. (doh-moh ah-ree-GAH-toh)
This reminds me of something we did in my first Commons flat (418). We made a wall of "bad words" in every language represented in our 8-person apartment. (My roomies back then: Chinese, Englishx2, French, Canadian, Mexican and German) It didn't become nor last very long, though. I'll see if I can scan the photo or something so you guys can see... it was hilarious for a couple of days...
hey, good job with the german translations! (but can you prononce it correctly ) If not, I would offer my help but you have to wait until September... ! Maxine
lol I picked one word out of that... Nihongo is Japan right? or is it Japanese (with Japan being Nihon) I'm gonna see if I can find a translator lol. I never actually took Japanese, but went on a two week exchange (got to see Tokyo Disney ) so I learned a few basic phrases but generally got by with just my English the whole trip... ETA: Bah I couldn't find a working one... according to all the ones I looked at Nihongo ga wakarimasu ka? Sugoi ne! in Japanese means Nihongo ga wakarimasu ka? Sugoi ne! in English lol. So now I'm in suspense abomut what was said to me lol.
oh awesome, sorry this took me so long to reply I hadn't noticed you didnt know I said I said, "you understand japanese? that's awesome" that's really all I know, that was "shinjuku dori wa doko desu ka?" but that'll only come in handy when Im in Japan because I doubt anyone can tell me the direction to Shinjuku from Epcot.
Yeah thats ok, no biggie. I kinda wish I knew more Japanese. I treid to take Japanese 101 at the UofA last fall, and dropped it 2 weeks in, I was allready behind and didn't think I had much of a chance catching up (by that point the prof wanted to stop speaking English, and the textbook stopped printing it as well)...
Don't Forget Canada Also has Bonjour Au revoir oui (or my preferred Québécois "Ouais" haha) non s'il vous plaît
