Just throwing this out there...

Not trying to start a huge argument or debate here...but am I the only "alumni" that feels the Alumni section doesn't live up to it's description?

"The place for Alumni to chat and reminisce!".... it seems like it's a lot of question-asking from new recruits...and too often threads get out of control that they'd be better off in the "General" section as opposed to this one... Or threads get into conversations between only two people, and the threads lose their meaning and topic...they get too sidetracked. If two people want a conversation, then PM each other, email, or get onto live chat. It's frustrating.

This is just an observation.....and my intention is not to start a fight...but it is a little disappointing, that's all.

    Hey guys
Sorry about that! I'm on here a fair amount, but only a few minutes at a time, so I don't have time to read that many threads. If there's ever anything you think should be moved, pm or email me and I'll do it next time I'm on! :D

Thanks everyone...I'm glad no one flipped out on me! LOL!

Hey another thing (but this is beyond anyone's control!) is that I seem to be the "oldest" alumni here!! I'm a 97-98 'grad'....anyone as far back as that? Or further? LOL!

I'm a 2001-2002 graduate which is not as far back as you but now seems like a lifetime ago after seeing all these new people on here excited about starting their Disney adventure! It was 3 years the other day since my last working day at Epcot and it still feels like yesterday!!! I didn't totally lose the Disney thing though as I went to work on the Disney Wonder for a year after Epcot but now I'm back in sunny Scotland and still missing it all like crazy!
But this site's great for reminiscing!!!! We had a UK Merch (+ a couple of F&B!) reunion the other week in Brighton and it was fantastic to see everyone again and talk about the good old days!

Keep posting on the alumini section, it's great to read everyone's tales of the Commons and Epcot!!!

    Take care,

    Laura. xxx

P.S. As I said I'm not as far back as you but I did work with an English girl on the ship who worked at Epcot in the 90's not sure exactly when though. Her name was Rachael Hillman, she did UK F&B and then the Millennium Viillage too. ;D

Sarahjane and the rest of you are right.
If you didnt bring this up, I would have!
The alumni section is for alumnies!

All newbies out there can ask for stuff in the other sections..
and I'm sure many of us are happy to answer questions there!

I'm in a wee place called Larkhall about 20 minutes from Glasgow. Near Motherwell and Hamilton! Most people know it for being full of Rangers supporters!!! What Uni are you at? I went to Strathclyde before my Disney experiences!!!

    agree with you
We as newbie just wanna seek professional advice from those who have been there. We know that you are EXPERt in all those things. We just wanna seek your PROFESSIOBNAL advice.
Sarah has been very helpful. She has been kindly answering my Qs. Ona is nice too. She has given me useful advice. Julia has been very helpful too. All of their advice are VERY USEFUL. Thanks a million.
AND WHILST WE UNDERSTAND THIS MELISNG, THESE ALUMNI BOARDS ARE NOT FOR TOPICS SUCH AS "WAT CAN I DO WITH MY DAYS OFF?" AND TALKING ABOUT SHOPPING TRIPS AND HOW MUCH MONEY YOU WILL EARN, THATS WAT THE APPLICANT ADVICE PAGES ARE FOR. GO AHEAD AND ASK YOUR QUESTIONS, JUST DO IT IN THE APPLICANT DISCUSSION PAGES, COS MOST ALUMNI DONT WANNA BE SIFTING THRU STUFF THAT ISNT RELEVANT TO ALUMNI

AND YES YOU ARE RIGHT,ALL OF US ALUMNI ARE REALLY HELPFUL AND NICE
