Hey i just had my phone interview, i dont think ive done very well though i kept repeating myself and stuttering, but i did make the guy laugh a few time. I only sent my CV off about 3 weeks ago. Must be a good sign eh?
was it Jason you had? I'm sure you did fine they expect us to be a little nervous its only human! anyway let us know when you hear back from them, keeping fingers crossed for you
Jess....what was the very very very first thing you did after you read your letter yesterday? I was in the house on my own, so my first reaction was to pick up the phone and ring my mum in work, but i was shaking so much and in such a state that for some very wierd and sad reason i accidentally rang my school (still confused over why i made that mistake).......something else even stranger was that someone actually answered the phone, and its the school holidays...job satisfaction eh?! J xxx
yeh his name might have been james i cant remeber, i dont thin ki was enthusiastic about scotland as i should have been, oh i dunno. Guess ill see in a couple of weeks :-\
I was exactly the same Amy...i had to make South Wales sound as if it was the best place on the planet, took me ages to pre-write stuff to mention, i found my AS levels easier!! J xx
well 2 of my housemates were with me when i opened it so i told them then i rang my parents then i txt u! then i actually sat down n actually read the whole letter as i hadn't done that before i had just skimmed it to find the bit i wanted to know!
cool When i opened it the first thing i saw was the word NOVEMBER in bold writing, which really god the heart pumping. J xx
I was loading some big boxes into my car to take to the local post office to send off to canada when the postman arrived, he handed me the mail and i saw the letter and recognised thier font *alarm bells rang*, so i dashed in the house to open it....quickest i have ever run into my house before. One of my neighbours was outside his house, not sure what was going through his mind after i legged it into the house! J xx
i hate the fact our postman doesnt come til late, i had heard from nath aka stitch and then from you so i knew to expect mine and i was pacing up and down waiting and waiting and waiting!
lol - let me tell u its SO much worse once u have had ur interview and ur waiting for 'the call' - everytime my mobile rang i jumped a mile - if it was a private number or a number i didnt recognise i didnt want to answer it but knew i had to, when jason rang my best mate had jus got in the car when i said bye i burst into tears - she thought someone had died and started panicing - but believe me it was worth it lol ;D
we all promised ourselves that we wouldnt cmoe on the boards incase somone had heard anything but thats another bad thing u jus cant help but look jus incase - u no u will be upset if someone has heard but u cant help it cos u need to no
to be honest i dont think i will be online much by then anyway as will hopefully be living with my sis and she doesnt have broadband, just pays per minute so she wont want me online all the time. thats prob gonna finish me off not being able to come on here!
I am not good at waiting for things! i will drive hell into my family during 'the wait'......they might have killed me by the time a call arrives!! J xx
Haha there was no way I wasn't gonna be on here after my interview! I'd be here every day to see if anybody heard! Then someone did and I spent the next hour staring my phone down ;D After all that talk over the weeks we were all waiting, it wasn't even a witheld number : That day is killer though, because they make the calls until about 8pm - mine came at 7 when I figured they'd probably phoned everyone they needed to and gone home!
for me too. i wonder if they call people in any order such as alphabetical or in order of interview time?!
