just arrived....

heyyy people! got to disney about 5pm yesterday, spent today doin little classroom type things, learnin the rules and gettin my i.d card, so far its goin great, but am yet to go shoppin and i am sooo hungry lol x

hey,
for the classroom and training type things, i know we are supposed to dress professionally... and im kind of unsure what to wear. I know its going to be too hot to wear black pants.... what about capris or a black skirt?? I dont know if the capris would be too relax looking and if the skirt would just not be appropriate... its a knee length skirt about but is pretty fancy.
what were the girls wearing that you were with??

u dont have to wear smart clothes untill traditions, and that isnt untill a few days after u arrive - mine isnt untill saturday, just wear casual clothes for the classrooms cos they only last a few hours and all u do is fill out forms quite honestly with what the weather was like today, id have happily run around naked lol. but for traditions i got black trousers and sleeveless shirt. the funny thing is they do actually advise u to bring a jacket to the classrooms cos with the air con it gets sooo cold, i couldnt have been happier to get back in the heat today after sittin in the classroom for 3hours lol.

and yes huni things are goin alrite, il msg u on facebook soon xXx

 

oh yeh coco im in chatham, hopefully move to the commons in about 6wks

 

ahhhh right of course... i keep forgetting bout the AC thing indoors.. haha
so maybe i should bring a pair of black dress pants for traditions then.

So many times I get attached to the people on hear and reading about them and then they leave and they are gone and you think, "Wonder if they made it ok, and where they are staying and such." Plus it is a good way to meet the next new people coming I think.

yehhh!!!! had such a great day today, we had more forms to fill out for a couple hours this afternoon, then i met 2 uk girls and 3 canadian girls and boy hehe, we spent like the whole day together, went shoppin, went for lunch, went by the pool then all come back to mine and just chilled out, had some pizza and a few drinks my friend is now fast asleep on my couch but id feel mean to wake him (even thou i really hav to sleep lol). todays definately made up for the last two days

Just wait till tomorrow. I hear Traditions is AWESOME. And your night after will be cool too if you guys go to Magic Kingdom. Guess it is open till 11pm tomorrow so it will be a long but full of Magical fun day. Hope it is for you what I have I have only heard of, and more.

 

heyyy, jus to let u all know....i made it through traditions, wasnt easy hehe - but was such a laugh i didnt think watchin 2 people put plastic toys in obsene positions cud be sooo funny lol. after that we all went over to mk COS WE GOT OUR DISNEY I.D wooooo!!!!!! never seen so many people be so happy about somethin, which (well it is to us) isnt that big a thing hehe. i dnt think we stopped screamin and cheerin all nite, was sooo brilliant. unfortunately i need to buy new work shoes grrrr! but dont care cos i had a fab nite at mk, watched the spectro magic parade then wishes firework display, then we all zzzzzz on the bus back hehe. another early start tomora though, have to leave mine at like 6.30am :'(

 

Sounds as though you had an amazing time! Not liking the sound of that early start though. Thats not so good :-\

Okay sorry so many questions, but please help me, I leave June 24th, and am concerned with some things:
Quick Questions:
1) in the first few days do they take you to the bank and start up your account and credit card? or what do they do there?
2) how much money did you bring with you?
3) if I have a laptop, should I bring it? is there wireless in the living quarters?
4) ok, if I have a cell phone should I bring it, and start an account there, or what?
5) (sorry personal one here) But if I have a prescription for birth control, can I fill it there, or no?

1) They don't take you to the bank, but people from the Disney bank comes to the complex and informs you about their deal and you can sign up if you want.
2) Bring what you can, disney says to bring about $2-400, but that'll just cover the basics, so if you want to have some fun, bring some more
3) Bring it, the lab computers can be slow, especially at the commons. There's internet but there weren't wireless when I was there, but to buy a router is really cheap.
4) Most people just buy a cheap phone from Walmart, it costs from $20 for a prepaid phone.
5) I don't know the answer for that one...
