June 21st UK-ers...some news from me!

Hey people....

not long now and I'm more excited than ever! hope everyone feels the same!

Just thought I'd let you know that, after much deliberation, I've decided not to go with the Delta flight that the rest of you guys are going on...

as some of you know, HRC like to book their own flights and it seemed a lot less hassle for me to take them up on that offer. So terrifying as it will be for me to fly by myself, that's what I'm doing...I'm convinced, however, that I'm going to get lost once I get to Orlando International Airport, and not be able to find anyone, and have no way to contact anybody....hopefully it'll all go ok and is, after all, all part of the fun of being independent and starting a year long good time!

I know you'll all be devastated that you won't get to meet me til later in the day () but at least you'll all have it to look forward to! (maybe....:)

Can't wait to meet you all.....and send out a search party if I'm not with you by the time the throw-in starts!!! :

P.S. Just to make you a bit jealous...I'm probably flying with Virgin direct to Orlando!

Delta does seem the airline that pretty much everyone is flying with.  I am flying Delta on Tuesday 14th as it seemed the easiest thing to do.  Is there much price difference??  Wow, Virgin Direct, huh??  Posh!   

I did not take up Gateway USA insurance.  How about everyone else??  It really did not have much cover so I opted to get a 13 month cover with an English Insurance Broker.

So your going out 21st?  I will have been in Florida for a week by then......seems a long way off to me at the moment as all I am looking forward to, at the moment, is arriving safely on the 14th.....hahahaha!!

Hmmm...."throw in's"...don`t know how I feel about those yet.   ???

I got gateway insurance, cos i thought it was much more hassle free than me having to contact Disney to let them know my details....

the 21st seems like AGES away to me too!! : I should really start to get a clue about the fact that it's only 11 days away!!

the throw-ins will be fine...everyone has a good time...I've yet to hear of anyone not enjoying themselves!

Ellen - ur be fine on your direct flight im sure... u can chill ready for your first crazy night! Maybe you'll arrive earlier too?

Neil -i'll meet u in a few days! still cant believe im going! Are u connecting via Atlanta? If so what times ur connecting flight? Me, Linz and Carol are on the 705pm arriving 830ish in orlando.

yeah its a shame u wont b on the delta flights *if thats what we'll b on* but hey u can warn the place we r due to arrive, and the other 21/22 of us will be there shortly after as im guessing ull arrive at a good time of around 4pm, compared to us at like 8/830, great fun lol

bry - no we dont have our details yet, wont until nxt week accordin 2 barbara as they r still sorting out departures for the nxt week, its really badly organised i think but hey im to stressed bout it already anyway lol

Just thought I'd update everyone...got my flight details....

11.15 am flight, LGW to MCO...VIRGIN ATLANTIC BABY!

and best of all (sorry to rub it in everyone! :) I get there at 3.25pm!

so hopefully be all settled in by the time you get there and can run around meeting everyone!

Only 3 more sleeps til Disney! Yeeeaaaaaaaahhh!! Seems like Christmas all over again!!  ;D

Can`t wait to start getting unpacked and having some parties!!

Im on 6 days mandatory and my one day off is the tuesday so Ill make sure I hang about the commons that day so i can come see you!!! do all international flights go through atlanta? i mean maybe the uk lot, and all the other europeans will be on diff flights to atlanta but the same flight to orlando? any alumni know?

bry to answer that no they dont all go through atlanta, some dont even have connections, it just depends how disney travel book them. i mean i know belfast dont go through atlanta, some go through newark, washington, philli, chicago the list goes on

just seems that a lot of the UK lot go on delta which is via atlanta it depends which airline u go with as their main connection destination will b different!
