    Hey everyone,

My name is Emma and this January i'll be applying for the CRP uk. Its my first go at it so just after a bit of advice really.

Does anyone know what kind of experience they will be looking for on your CV? I've got quite a lot of customer service experience cause ive mostly worked in retail since leaving college.

Anyone else here applying? would be nice to get to know some people who are going through it all as well ;D

    Em xx

    Hello Emma.
Any retail or food and drink experience is great. Just come across passionate and show how much you want to work for Disney and you will be fine :)

Hi emma :) I'm on the waitlist from the last set of applications, so ill decide in january whether or not to come off the waitlist and re-apply or not!

It sounds as if you have got good customer service experience which I think is what they look for! If you're unsure, you could always email yummy jobs and ask if they have any suggestions- they're usually ver helpful!

The best advice I could give is to do as much research about the program as possible, so read people's blogs, watch vlogs, read up the job description and use that to help you do ur application. As far as the interviews go, be prepared for typical customer service type questions and questions relating the role itself and you should be fine. Both the phone interview and the face to face interview are really short and done be very friendly people so just relax and try to enjoy yourself!

Hope some of that helps :)
Good luck with the application x

im reapplying in january - i did the programme august 2007-2008 reapplied in june got phoen interview but didnt make it to f2f interview - but i was expecting that cos i messed up my phone interview

my advice would be to consider why you want tow ork for disney and what you hope to get out fo the programme. the experience in retail will be fine - when i applied originally i was working in admin and had previous experience working in sales - got through and into f & b :)

the interview for the crp is differnet in that you interview by phone first with a member of yummyjobs and then if you pass that interview you are invited to a f2f one in london. i think there are more applicants for crp than icp so its a bit more competitve. you interview in pairs or groups of 3 with an american recruiter from disney.

I'm applying January as well =D So far as much for interviews, confidence, lots of research on the the course and of Disney. As for experience I think some people get in without any and others get in with lots? I think its just how you present you self mostly, if you have experience its a big bonus like the icing on the cake some may say. Good luck for January all applying then!

That's true, I had 2 months of retail experience and 2 months of waitressing experience, was a nervous wreck but still got a place. I'd say the best advice is to be yourself! I'm bubbly, giggly and blonde but Disney obviously wants a bit of that :) I'd say start preparing your application now though, I finished my letter the day before the applications opened, and I'd been trying to do it for 2 months... The time just flies by!

Hey my names Shellie and i will be applying in January also. Have started gathering information together for may cv and covering letter and will be drafting it soon so I can let friends and family have a look and advise me on improvments. I am so excited to apply but also nervous but I suppose if you dont take a risk at failing something then you wont get anywhere in life hehe! Good Luck to every1 applying! Hopefully we will get to know each other and help eachother through :)

I have no idea where to start with my cover letter! My CV isn't too bad (I've just got a Christmas job in M&S, which should look good on there since M&S are super obsessed with customer service), but the cover letter ... ARGH. I've no idea where to even start!

Reading these boards fills me half with excitement and half with a ridiculous amount of nervousness!

everyone has a different approach, just get across how keen you are, how your skills would help in the role and show you understand what is involved in the job

Also throw in a pinch of cheese! ::) I said something about "wanting to create Disney Magic" & other things & I said something similar during phone interview & Hannah & I had a giggle as she said that what Disney is famous for the cheese factor! So BE YOURSELF! It really comes across. Also I said it before somewhere to get your family & friends to read your cv & cover letter they are a fantastic source to cast an eye over them & will point out anything that needs to be edited!

Also read the blogs & watch the vlogs they helped me SO much! Its why I have been keeping mine to help others if I was lucky enough to get this far :) Research the role & whaT Disney are looking for. Also ask us!! If we haven't already answered the question on here or in a blog/vlog don't be afraid to ask us! We're all lovely honest! Just have a poke around the old topics because there is alot of information to be found that could be useful!

Hope I've helped! Best Wishes also to all of you when you do apply! Hope to see you out there!

Thanks, that was really helpful! I can definitely do the cheese factor (haha, I just typed 'factory' - I think I'm craving a trip to the Cheesecake Factory!), it's putting it altogether that worries me! How formal does the cover letter need to be?

I've currently got open a billion tabs of blogs and vlogs that I'm making my way through - they're entertaining as well as useful, so I'm having great fun with them.
(I just clicked on your blog link, and realised yours was one of the first I looked at! I've followed it on Tumblr so I can keep updated!)

i used to work for marks and sparks as a bra advisor :D

interviews are same as everywhere - at mine i was asked to show an example in previous role where i had shown good customer service, how i would deal with a complaint etc

It's pretty simple - it's a roleplay rather than an actual interview. They give you a scenario (I had one involving a sofa), and then you have a few minutes to read through and decide what you're going to do/say, and then someone comes in and pretends to be the customer. You just have to be as helpful as possible (offering to ring around other stores etc).
Good luck with it - I'm sure you'll be great! ;D

oh roleplay the joys - so taking out my phone and when the person approaches me saying "shhhhh im on the phone!!!" wouldn't go down well lol

just make sure you include all the important points in your cover letter - why you want the job, what skills you have that match the job, why you want to work at disney etc ----- really sell yourself tho, thats really the whole point!!!
