itunes recommendations

Ok... so after buying myself an ipod I have recently discovered the joy that is itunes and spending lots of money downloading songs (mainly that I haven't heard for years and have lost on record/tape/cd/minidisk)... but I'm now running out of good tunes to download... So I was wondering...

What's everyones favourite band/artist and can you recommend some good tunes to download through the magic that is itunes?

I'd recommend "The View" and any tune from their album "Hats off to the Buskers"....

Definitley some Queen. I love their one sone right now, "Don't stop me now". Its an amazing tune!

You've got to have some Five for Fighting. They're excellent. I'd recommend either 100 Years, World or Two Lights.

 

Well im in to everything and anything... The View are my personal favourite just now so something close to them is always a bonus ;D

Fairly obscure stuff that I wont think about looking up... i.e. Steer clear of the charts ;D

 

If you want obscure I can help you there But I've got obscure, and I've got just plain STRANGE!

Though, this is probably a bit more tame, but my favourite band ever is Lovedrug, an indie rock band from the states. I just can't exactly pinpoint why I love them so. They get a lot of comparisons to Muse and early Radiohead (both of which are well known but I also reccommend in case you live under a rock and you havn't heard of them!).

Aside from that, I'm going through a major pop-indie phase. Oh, and The Arcade Fire (A Canadian band!) just came out with their latest album! I adore them as well! I have a lot of French (Quebecor) music as well, if you are so inclined.

 

i like arcade fire my boyfriend my get to meet them now cos his cousins band (the arctic monkeys) and jarvis cocker have both got him backstage passes (he always has ridiculous links) for coachella. only problem is if he meets arcade fire he is determined to try and seduce the girl (ha!) which isnt too good for me!

personally im not really a huge fan of them. they're alright though. i never met them but his cousin is the guitarist, jamie cook? either way i am very jealous of his connections because they mean he can scab all sorts of things for free! barsteward.

(This is going to sound a little obscure) My friends sister is friends with a member of the Arcade Fire as well - can't remember who, though. There are two girls in the group, and if he's after Regine, good luck! She's married to one of the other members. And insanely shy, apparantly.
Not such a fan of the Arctic Monkeys - I remember there was SO much hype over them, so I was more than slightly dissapointed when I heard them.

 

Milburn are a better version of the Arctic Monkeys!

 

im not, me and my boyf are both originally from sheffield like them. not that that proves anything. but whatever. (skip a few sentences) to conclude, im not lying. why would i do that? i dont even particularly like them, so i'd hardly consider it major cool points 8)
