It's Official!!! DCL coming to Europe!!!

Well, it was officially announced today, live from World Showcase. ;D

On May 12th 2007, the Magic leaves Port Canavral for the Med. The 14 night repositioning cruise will call at

-Castaway Cay
-Tenerife
-Cadiz: Spain
-Gibraltar: U.K
-Barcelona: Spain.

The magic will sail on 10 & 11 night cruises around the med. with ports of Call:

-Barcelona, Spain
-Palermo, Sicily
-Naples, Italy (Pompeii)
-Olbia, Sardinia
-Civitavecchia, Italy (Rome)
-La Spezia, Italy (Florence, Piza)
-Marseilles, France
-Villefranche, France (Monte Carlo, Cannes, Nice)

And then leave on August 18th for a 14 nigh voyage to return to the US via:

-Barcelona: Spain.
-Gibraltar: U.K
-Cadiz: Spain
-Tenerife
-Castaway Cay

Wow! Seven days to cross the Atlantic! Those will be very long sea days working in merchandise!!! :'( We used to do 1 a week on the Wonder and that was enough for me!!!

Although cruising across the Atlantic and the Med would be great!!! ;D

 

Whoa it s the same itinerary one of hte NCL ship is doing...so just to let you know before you start to get all excited about doing that...
on the repo to europe you ll have lilke 6 sea dayz and an hour back each night so not so bad....
but on the repo back....6 sea dayz and one hour forward every nite...ouch!!!
but anyway it s nice to have a disney ship in europe!!i was with the magic today in st marteen ...nice ship or at least from the outside and i really like the goofy painting the aft of the ship

Oh how I wish I was going!! My brother-in-law works for the DCL headquarters in Celebration. Him and his wife (my sister) are going on it next spring. I did get to go on a cruise in 2004 though when I was a cast-member for Canada. That was a blast!! Maybe someday I'll be able to go again.

 

you are right laura. six sea days??? omg... getting your first break already from 11-12 sucks the most... from 6pm on you start looking at your watch every five minuets... but at least the crew can eat something good in every port of call... yummie italian pasta, cheese, french baguette and instead of burger every nassau
