Hey Everyone! So I start at the Canadian Pavillion May 6th, and obviously everyone knows it's the most magical place on Earth and everything, but for the people who are already there, is there anything that us newcomers should be aware about or to prepare ourselves for? What are the "guests" like? I work at a hotel on the front desk right now so I have had my fair share of people, but I'm just wondering what to expect while our time there Thanks a bunch and looking forward to meeting all of you!
Expect the unexpected It'll be so many different guests, from the sweetest ones to the horrible ones. But from what I've seen for example as a greeter in the norwegian pavilion, there's always someone who sees that horrible guest yelling at you, and they come up to you telling you what a fab job you're doing and what they really think of that guest Some guests might even personally blame you for the rain or that their monorail broke down. It might seem like people leave their brains at home when they go to amusementparks, so expect the stupidest questions: When's the 3 o'clock parade Do you have shoes in norway? Is it true that norwegians are pregnant for 18 months because it's so cold there? Do you have the same problems with vikings as we do with indians?
Thanks so much for the feeedback! Did you ever have anything bad happen to you when you were there? What was your most memorable experience??
I'm going this year and I've noticed that everybody writes about how great it is and so,but nobody talks about how hard it can be... why?
I agree - looking back I tend to focus on how wonderful it was, the bad bits just kind of fade away. I'm going back this summer.
Totally hsm - my last day was so emotional. The people I worked with threw a leaving party for me and a few other ICP's. It was so hard to say goodbye.
As someone said, the hardest part is leaving, because no matter what, you know you'll never get this back! But there's hard days at work too, but everyone is so supportive, it's so amazing!
and what about the real college program, the lessons and essays?! is it difficult? the first days will be hard, but I think u are right, the last days will be harder :'(
