I just found out that I know Jorden because his brother was in the same marching band as I was. and yes, I was in a marching band, and I know some of you are probably laughing, but some of the best experiences I've had came from there and I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world! Anyways, back to the point, I thought it'd be interesting to see how others are connected!
Lets see, she doesnt post on the boards too much anymore since she's become an official CM down in Florida but Princess Tessa is my best friend. ..and to answer the question I most common get "Did you and Tessa know eachother before Disney?" Well, technically there was no time before Disney but we've been best friends for 12yrs and she lived like 2min away from me. It's not a coincidence at all but I am connected to her and I miss her. :'(
yeah it's a complete coincindece for me and Matt that I found out due to the fact that my mom found these boards from John's WDW blog, started lurking and recognised Matt lol.
She doesn't post often, but I know Disney Robin. After I applied I over heard a girl in my dance class talking about "When I lived in Florida my roomate was from France ...". I thought it was odd so I asked her what she was doing there and she told me she was in the WDWIP! It was crazy because I'd never met anyone who had heard of it let alone done it. When I told her I had applied and got an interview I made her homesick for Disney and she applied for the WDWICP. We went to the interviews in Montreal together (even shared a hotel room) and now she's headed down at the beginning of June (Entertainment - Pluto to be precise) ... I'm hoing I'll be ther before she's done! *crosses her fingers for late August*
I expected to have housemates from all over the world (which I did!) but I shared my bedroom with a Canadian from the same arrival group who lives like 45 minutes away from me. She worked with a guy whom I knew from a school trip to England. Okay, it was a band trip -- you're not the only geek here Matt! 8) We'd never met but she recognized me from his pictures right away! Craziness! Even more craziness... I know Snow White's brother from music and I work (Not for much longer!) at the same Starbucks he used to AND my brother worked with Tessa at the movie theatre. ~*~Linda~*~
that's pretty cool! keep the stories coming! just a little side I thought of from linda's movie theatre comment. I've worked at a movie theatre for almost 4 years, and last year we had all the crazy business with Famous Players being sold to Cineplex, then some of those theatres being sold to Empire Theatres... long story short, Emprie Theatres uses a lot of the same jargon as Disney ie: Cast members, guests etc... pretty neat eh? but that's off topic... lets have some more cool connections!
garye and i are from the same town and go to the same pubs and clubs and stuff..... dont know each other tho! not really a connection just found it odd as its not exactly the biggest town!
only person i know is david who is already over there...he lived across the road from me and he worked with my dad in the disney store...i knew of him for years but didn't meet him till the interview...where i scared him by telling him i knew him...hee hee hee.. ;D
