I've been thinking about applying for the CRP for a while but i haven't got any work experience, except for working at a restaurant about 3 times when i was 13!! So, i was wondering if anyone was in the same position and knew if it was even worth me applying? ???
DisneyGibbs is right! I don't know how it is in the other countries, but a lot of the Norwegians comer right from high school, so they don't have much experience either...
I had no experience at my interview but im going in september... now i do however as I work at caffe nero lol wooo yeah!
From what I can tell it is about who you are, not what you've done. Go for it, the worst they can say is come back next year!
there are positions in merchandise and when it comes to experience i think its more a case of your maturity when in a tough situation
I don't really have much applicable work experience and I've made it to the in-person interview (in Canada, no clue if I'll be hired). All I have is research work, student government, and other extra curricular activities. I think they just want to know that you're enthusiastic, hard working, and that you'll embrace the Disney spirit!
I agree, its just about you as a person and what you as a person can give Disney. At the end of it all, you wont lose anything but have everything to gain if you apply. ;D
Ok, you've all persuaded me, i think i'm gonna apply! I've been thinking about it for a while and instead of doing revision and essays i've been on here reading everything people have been saying about it and getting really excited about it and i haven't even applied So, hopefully if all goes well, i'll be seeing some of you there! Thanks for all your help! ;D
well im glad your applying, it is a experiance worht doing once, or twice as some people do has anyone thought about the cruise line? i thought about it but i wasnt sure, im not gonna go anytime soon but any thoughts?
I am hopefully going to apply for the cruise line when/if I'm next working in Disney. I want to do entertainment (i.e. musical theatre) and figured it would be easier to audition out there. Even if it means going up to New York However, there may be a spanner in the works, and I'm not allowed to say anything, but if all goes ahead, I may not be able to work for Disney after the CRP anyway!
oh.... sad. why are you working at universal aswell... traitor! lol i wasnt sure about the cruise line, due to the hours and no days off
Good Neevyweevy, just look at the flashing quote you have on the bottom of your posts, that if anything should show you, you are doing the right thing
Haha, no not Universal something a bit closer to home. But shhhhh I'm not allowed to talk about it! So it's forgotten for a year. :-X Yeah, the hours would be long, but if I managed to get into the shows, it would give me a kick start to the musical theatre career I want!
