    Hey DISNEY buffs!

I've been reading through some other threads on the forum and some people were mentioning how some cast members get termed for petty reasons. I was just wondering what sorts of things get you termed from the program? The only biggie I know is underage drinking and thank goodness, I'm 21! lol

btw, can you believe its been more than 2 months since this application process began?? time flies :)

UNderage drinking is the most popular one by far!!!

Also stealing from the company is auto termination as well! Even silly little things like toilet paper!! I remember being told about that on my last program!

    Don't fail apartment inspections!
Once you get a written warning from The Commons it's not difficult to get termed!
The security guards enjoy their wee power trip and will use any excuse!
In saying that... They never seemed to bother initiations/throw ins. Ha ha!
Some lassies in the UK chippy came pretty close for eating chips once the thing had closed! The chef was dying to get them out but the manager managed to convince her a reprimand would be fine!

Yeah, because eating the food is classed as stealing Disney property.
    Go figure.

Yeah considering they make $4 billion per year just off the pin trading it seems pretty frickin petty!! One of my mates just got termed for jumping the fence of Chatham, he'd already jumped Commons twice and got caught lol and only been here 3 weeks!!!! I'm pretty gutted about it!

I've been here 2 and a half weeks and been at parties shut down by security 6 times haha..one of which was my throw in, 2 were parties at my place lol.

You gotta be pretty stupid to get termed, one or two lapses of common sense while your drunk will do it though haha.

You wont get termed for apartment inspections. I failed one inspection and it said there would be consequences if I failed again, so I asked about it cos I already had a written warning for something else, and they said they would keep fining you but not term you :)

Yup. Eating is a huge no no. And failing an inspection won't get you termed but it does make it easier for them to term you for something else small when the little things add up.

Another one that can end up getting you termed is physical fights in the commons. I know I guy who was drunk and provoked, then the "victim" accussed him of being prejuiduce and my friend was the one that got termed. Still no idea what the "victim's" problem was. So if you have a short fuse watch your step

From my experience last year, of my arrival group of 10, there was only 4 of us left when i left.

You have to remember that you are a number to Disney, nothing more-the managers see such a turnover of people that they and the company as a whole will forget you within a week of your leaving anyway, so they feel no sense of loyalty of obligation toward you......not should they, as they have 100 applicants for your job-you are easy to replace.

Also, if they fire you within your first 90 days, they dont have to offer you things such as health cover etc etc-so its in their interest to get rid of you before youve been there 3 months. Replace you and do the same thing.

Just dont let them see you break the rules

You speak alot of sense here. The fact that all the CRPs are only out there for 12 months maximum anyway, the company won't be forming any attachment to you, even if you form one to it. Where I work now we have such a high turn around of staff it's crazy. I've been there just over a year, and I'm one of about 4 (not inc management) who's been there that long. This is out of a staff count of 30. Front of house and Back of house (waiters and kitchen). We're lucky in the UK that it's not so easy to be fired, but most of the grounds that Disney fire on are, in my opinion, strict but acceptable.

Are you working in the UK pavillion?

Nope. Not got out to WDW (yet)

Kinda gives the game away. No one on a CRP is there for more than a year :p

My point was that Disney isn't the only company to be like this.

    Oh i see

You know you CAN work for more than a year on the CRP :p

Its a frequent thing-get a visa extension sponsored by the com pany-they will do it as lon g as you havnt caused trouble, many people stay for a good 18 months-i myself was extended for a month
