Interviews, 13th Feb, London.

Hi there

Ive got an interview on Feb 13th in London. I live in Scotland and I'm having to fly down to London on the Monday night so I will get there in time lol! Anyone else the same as me? Would be good to know a few ppl b4 I go!

when have you applied to go-couldnt you have gone the the US consulate in Edinburgh or Belfast-i know some Scots who were allowed to do that

 

It's from May till Nov this year. I didn't know about that. Just got an Email asking me to go to London! X

 

i think claire is talking about her actual interview,not the visa interviews.
If you live in the UK you either have to go to Belfast or London for your visa - altho there is a US Consulate in Edinburgh they do not issue american visas there which is why us Scots have to make the trip to Northern Ireland or the South of England. I did hear that they were trying to get the place in Edinburgh to issue visas but this will prob take ages to happen!!!

 

Yeh ur right Kerry, not got to that stage yet lol! It's the actual interview for the job. Scary! X

 

Ahhhh-yes, when i did the summer programme about 18 months ago, i had to go for

1-the initial pressentation at Uni in Liverpool in September of 04

2-the meeting in Birmingham/interview with Jason (me him and a girl who just handed out cards for her mums hotel ???) in Feb

3-going to London for the visa in march

4-then flew out for 3 months of 6th June.


Cant wait to get back and do it for a year-before i have to grow up and get a job

I'm travelling down on the Monday (12th), and will be staying.. somewhere.. (not sorted out where yet).

And does anyone know... How businessy does 'business attire' mean?
Could I wear a shirt and trousers or are we talking full suit and tie?
I've read this website and I know it says smart, no tie necessary, just wondering if there is anyone here who's been through this before to tell me that I don't have to go out and spend money on posh clothes. Anyone?

I just wore a pair of black trousers, shoes, a black top 9didnt bother with a shirt) and a suit blazer-smart casual i was

 

by business attire they just mean the 'disney look' no jeans no trainers and for guys - no piercings, visible tatoos or jewellery, you dont need a tie - just be glad ure not girl its a lot more strict! see ya there!
