Yeah and make sure you bring a cable as well, it's not wireless (unless you luck into roomates who've bought a wireless router).

An ethernet cable. Looks just like a phone cable but the ends that plug into the router and the laptop are a little wider. If you can't find one before you go Wal Mart will have them. Just remember the longer the cable the further you can sit away from your router (which might be in your living room).

Here's a picture comparing the two cables.

You may also be in luck and have roomates who have one to spare/are willing to share.

Yeah Kerry that should work fine.

Jilly the prices range depending on the length of the cord you need... I've seen them from 5 feet to 100 feet)... They've gotten up to 50 Canadian dollars (which is closer to 45 USD)

That would work fine (I bought a similar cheaper model at Wal Mart there).

What you would need is the router, the power cord for the router, and one ethernet cable (one should have been supplied with your router.

Somewhere in each apartment is a non wireless router or a hub (not sure which). All you would have to do is plug your wireless router into one of the 4 ports on the supplied router/hub (afixed to a wall somewhere) and you're set.

I don't remember seeing laptops at Wal Mart so you may be out of luck there (that dosn't mean they didn't have them). There's LOTS of outlet stores nearby so you may be able to get a cheap laptop at one of them.

I am also bringing my wireless router (the same one thats been sitting in a box since I moved out of Chatham), but it's gonna be secured... no easy access to my network lol.
