international drivers licences

hey,

just wanna know if any of you guys are applying for international drivers licences for while you are in america?

im applying for one now, since i thought it would be cool to do some roadtrips to the beach and so forth.
costs for car hire are dirt cheap. check out dollar car hire. http://www.dollar.com according to my buds doing the program they are the closest and cheapest car hire agency from where we live. the are located at the regal sun resort across the road from the commons.

I dunno about you Ewan, but my UK drivers license is fine for renting a set of wheels. You need a Florida drivers license to buy a car though. They cost $20 & you have to do a written test & a practical test. It's piss easy though apparently. Even if I don't end up buying a motor, I'm gonna get a FL license anyway just as a souvenir!

i just need a certified AA approved piece of paper with my original South african drivers licence saying that im totally awesome. and then i am legit to drive anywhere in the world ;D

jess, if you wanna drive with me you are gonna have to get used to my totally cheesy jokes. IT AINT EASY BEING CHEESY!!

 

I thought your SA drivers license may have only covered you for driving elephants or giraffes! I can do bad jokes too!

You have such wonderful creative ideas Ewan, I love it. Yeah, we're totally kidnapping Jess & going on a road trip with lots of singing, terrible jokes & general immaturity. Then when we get somewhere we like, we man up with this beer drinking contest & Jess can drive us home!
