I hear whisperings of some "welcoming" rituals for the new participants in one of the first few days... any of this true? dont get me wrong, im not worried, i think itd be fun and exciting as long as its tasteful just curious
Kyle, you're talking about the throw-in... I've been told that there is nothing to worry about and that canadian's one are the best!! Nobody said what it is as it's a "surprise" for new comers, but I've heard that it's the best way to know all of the fellows canadians and to drink a beer in good compagny! I've seen some picture with a beer prayer and some drink games, but don,t know if it's at the throw-in though...
thanks Jean-Simon, Throw in is the word i was looking for but couldn't find. and yes, i have heard its a fun event as well, im more just curious if its a planned thing, or if they will knock during the night and steal you ... college style
I would tell you... but as you will find out it's a secret lol. Good times good people. Nothing you don't want to do. It's honestly an amazing start toooo an amaaaazing year!!! And it's usually the day after you move in!!! ENJOY!!
put it this way, the UK throw in was pretty tame, and ive hear the Canadian one was fairly similar. basically, go to someones apartment, where they somehow manage to squeeze the entire pavillion in, answer one of two mildly embarrassing but funny questions.....then thats really about it-have a drink, talk to a few peopleand go home to bed (you might have been awake for quite a few hours by that point)
