My question is for suggestions/guide lines as to what to bring for the first few days and indeed couple of weeks Although Disney recommend to bring $500 people have said to bring more? Is it best to buy most things over there, like clothes etc What is best to bring in the line of electronics, should i bring my 360, will i have any time to use it? Just things like the above if you guys could please, so i and other people in the same situation know what to bring with them so they don't end up with too much, or too little. ok first of all, YES, bring your 360 and we can all go round and play on it, hehe. But, although the commons is just one big party, you will have time to play, we dont party every night. Just think, are you coming here for a year? If so, just imagine, you will be living in an apartment, just like back home or what ever, people have bought 2 or 3 massive suitcases with them before, so if you think you might need stuff just bring it.
What do i do about a TV? Also is it possible to get wifi or to set up a wireless or standard network in the apartment JON1X303
yes you can set up wifi, most apartments have tvs, apart from the 1 bed ones, but you can pick up cheap tvs from wal mart anyway
Can us young ones under 21 not join in any of the partys? i mean are they really strict on the drinking no chance of having a little drink? Oh good so we are allowed to bring more than one suitcase?! my mum told me no, were going for a year i definitely need 2!
Vista way doesn't provide teles but we bought one from Walmart which was a decent size and think it only worked out about 20 dollars each between the 6 of us. That including buying a dvd player as well, you can rent dvds from vista. I would recommend getting one as it provides a bit more atmosphere in the flat. Plus it's something to watch when your in the flat although american tele is crap in my opinion, too many adverts.
you are allowed 2 cases and 1 hand luggage. Seriously though, I know your a girl and everything but don't take loads of stuff with you. I went out with one case and 1 hand luggage and came back with 2 cases. I had to bin things as well as I just couldn't fit them in and I was still over the weight limit. You will buy so much stuff whilst your out there, I only went for 3 months and I bought loads. Just think how much you could buy, being there a year! As you will have a costume to wear in work, you won't need to bring loads of clothes as you will be in your costume most of the time anyway.
they are extremely strict on underage drinking. I turned 21 whilst I was out there but I was still living in an under 21 apartment. I did drink in there, as did all of my underage flatmates but we never got caught. You probably can get away with it if your sensible i.e. you don't make loads of noise e.t.c. but bear in mind you will be on the first flight home if you do get caught so it's up to you if you want to take the risk.
Right thanks britishsear i will bear that in mind!! i'l wait and see what its like when im over there, i'll be over their for my 21st as well which will hopefully be fun. Do people tend to go out and about at night?
I lived in vista and there was usually a party going on somewhere. A few people I knew went to the house of blues in downtown orlando and also, the proper downtown orlando to have a drink. They were all under 21 so I don't know why they bothered really.
