i have a few questions: am i supposed to bring a pillow, sheets and blankets for the bed?

We were told at our interviews that you DO need to bring your own linen. This would include pillow cases, duvet covers/sheets etc. I think that means that pillows, blankets etc. ARE supplied in the apartments.

As for TV, to the best of my knowledge, they aren't in each apartment, though it is apparently quite cheap to buy them, so a lot of people do.

On the other hand, telephones are supplied in the apartments and have free (I THINK) local calls and possibly to other apartments. However, I seem to recall them not offering international calling-or possibly that it was REEEEEALLY expensive, so you'll need an international calling card for that.

That said, this was all at an International College Program (ie. the summer one) presentation/interview session, so it could be different for you Cultural Representative Program (ie. the year long one) people.

I'd guess it's the same though.

Congratulations on getting in! I hope you have the time of your life! :D

Congrats on getting acccepted - you coming out the day before my birthday!

You do need to bring linens and a duvet and pillows although you could just buy them from Walmart when you get there

Yup, bring sheets, blankets, and a pillow or simply join the masses and buy 'em from Wal-Mart on your first day.

If you apartment has a TV it's because someone either bought one or was given one by a departed friend.

All apartments have a crappy phone that makes free local calls... Except some numbers in Kissimmee or something... It's weird. You need a calling card to make long distance calls.
