Hi there! I'm Max and I'm Italian and I'm pretty unsure about whether applying for J1 garduate Pr o CRP.Everybody tells me good things about CRP but no one can tell me much about the J1 graduate. 1- They told me during the courses u will have hard assignments and a final exam to get a degree in Hospitality. Do u know anything about this exam, Is it hard to pass or something like that? U need to study a lot during the 6 months? 2- Is In the CRP so hard to be hired and on the contrary is it easier in J1 Graduate work and study program? In CRP your english MUST be fluent? I really appreciate If someone could answer me. Thank u x your help! max
Hey Max, Well I really can't tell you much about J1 but my experience so far for CRP is that to get in is not as hard as it seems, you just need to show why you really want to be part of Disney World and also speak fluent English during the F2F. My friends who are already in Orlando keep telling me tons of great things about the CRP and now I have to wait 34 more days to be there but I'm sure it will be just as great as they have told me. Anyway think you need to decide on what you're looking for and what you think it would be the best for your professional career. Hope this might help a bit. Greetings from Mexico! Lou
Hi, My name is Rony. And in june I have an interview for the J1 program.... does anybody have any information about what it really is going to be like...... thank you hope to see you all there..... alexander1986@hotmail.com
Well I initially applied for the J1 programme and was due to go out in January 2009 but its an expensive programme as you have to pay for your college fees on top of your other expenses and I couldnt get the money together in time. To be honest however I was just looking for a way to get out to Florida and when I found out I could apply for the CRP programme which lasts a whole year as supposed to the 6 month J1 I jumped at the chance. I guess it just depends on what your looking for, the J1 is good if you want the experience of an american college but you do only get a certificate in hospitality management and on top of that you lose one of your days off a week to go to college so you only get one day off every week. One more thing which probably wont influence you that much but with the J1 programme you stay in vista way which is the oldest complex and with the CRP you will most likely be in the commons which is much younger and nicer apparently! Good luck in making your decision
Thank u for your opinion Amanda! J1 program was cancelled so I applied for CRP and my candidature was sucessful!!I'm leaving on October 20th ...I'm really excited!!! What about u?
