IMPORTANT! VISAS FOR SEPT 11TH!

This is for anyone panicking about visas for around sept 11th. I couldnt get an appt either but i emailed the consulate in Belfast and they gave me an emergency appt in Belfast. Tell them ur situation- include your passport number and a contact number and in the subject

Seriously guys do this - I got my appointment changed to Sept 4th for belfast - £55 return with easyjet

 

yeah we are- otherwise we aint gettin out there anytime soon.
Promise you its worth it.
Otherwise michelle sed they will just push back your departure date and u have to pay
20-30 quid for them to move your flight.

 

its a lot less hastle going to belfast - especially if you want to get to disney at the original time

errr i just phoned and they said sept 4th is not early enough to get the visa for the 11th!!! dont know what to do?

 

i was told when i phoned that i would get my passport back in 2 days after being there

 

Noo I have just phoned them again-they said its 2 days processing and 5 days atleast to send it back....dont know what to do really coz no point in going to belfast if it wontget the visa back in time! Ho can I be told this when all u guys were not?

 

Michelle sed that wen i was gunna get the appt on the 13th sept i would have still made a departure on the 18th- did you speak to Michelle or ring the visa pple coz they will add a couple days just to make sure. the dates that you have give you two extra days than i would have had. check with michelle. x

 

I rang and got a cancellation for thus monday, the girl said there weren't any more slots but there might be other cancellations so it might be worth trying them if anyone needs to.

 

With Belfast they use Royal Mail Special Delivery (you buy a £4.95 envelope before you go and it guarantees your passport will be with you the day after they send it). In Belfast they process the visa within 2 days and send it straight out.

The 5 day processing is London and they then courier it back adding an extra 2-3 days.

Seriously - if you have an appointment on the 4th you *should* get the visa back in time - was told this by the call centre and then confirmed by Yummy Jobs.

For those who have their appointments on the 4th - what times? if anyone is going from Gatwick to Belfast with Easyjet - let me know I may be on your flight!

 

Oh dear I am being told different things-the embassy said even in Belfast the visa would not arrive back for the 11th if I was to go on the 4th - they said it can still take 7-10 days..it seems quite risky but I guess its better than trying for a cancellation in London??

 

Like i sed- has anyone actually contcted Michelle instead of the visa people?she probably has a better idea than anyone else having to sort things like this out on a daily basis.
I really do think you will be ok and i got given the same info as steve bout it being 2 days then a couple more for it bein sent back- they dont use the courier service from belfast- just a self addressd special delivery envelope.
Just bein random tho- on the forms we have to fill in- what have people put for the whole place of issuance etc at the begining and the address of the actual company to be worked for (question 32) it confused me. please help!

 

@ tink 2188 do you mean question 32 from the form DS-156? When yes I put there the adresse from Walt Disney World.

 

For question 32 i put Kimberly Cascone's name and address - checked with pinkspideruk (she got her visa last week) and thats what she was told.

Michelle and Lisa from yummy jobs both agreed that belfast will send the visa back in time

 

Michele told me there is no Lisa at Yummy Jobs!! Whats going on there? I am going to phone YJ and Belast tommorow to get things straight, I have phoned the embassy twice and they have told me the 4th isn't early enough so I must be missing something.
