If I Could Bring Back One Thing....

Here's a new little game that's a bit different than the other ones...
Name something that you remember from the parks that isn't there anymore that you miss or would want to bring back. Feel free to also add things that maybe you think would improve the park..Attractions, shows, etc...

The thing I miss the most is Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. I know you have to make room for new stuff but that ride was a staple for me. I remember the first time I went on that with my dad, I thought that darn train was going kill me! ha ha The light was heading right for us!

Alrighty....someone else's turn....

 

I'd love for them to bring back Alien Encounter....and the Skyway! I loved both of those and it's kinda sad they don't have them any more.

 

Alien Encounter scared the bajeepers out of me. That was a pretty awesome how they made it feel like something was licking the back of your neck lol
And the Skyway! I was totally going to write that but I didn't remember the name of it until I read your entry!! I really miss that too!

 

Yeah I love the Skyway They got rid of it because it violated Disability Laws, and also because a CM was killed on it, but that wasn't the main reason. It was mainly because guests with disabilities couldn't ride it. So it had to go. I wish they'd do something with the terminals though. They just sit there looking pretty haha.

Alien Encounter scared me the first time I went on when I was 11. My brother cried the whole time, and my Dad just laughed. I think that was the problem with it, a few years later no one was screaming on it and it didn't have the same fear factor.

 

I definitely miss Mr. Toad's Wild Ride too. The Winnie the Pooh ride is nice (and has a very similar track) but it's not Mr. Toad. I definitely remember riding that with my dad, too.

I guess I'd like to see some of the old rides from Epcot. I really, *really*, *REALLY* miss the old Imagination ride. I would take that home with me in a second!

 

Oh my god! I totally forgot about the old imagination ride! They used to take your picture on it and everything! That's a great one!

There used to be a ride that had to do with Flight at the Magic Kingdom I think as well....I can't remember what it was called but it was great as well!

I know which ride you mean! Dreamflight or something put on by Delta Airlines. It was where Buzz Lightyear is now! I also liked the ride at Epcot where at the end you got to pick your adventure (underwater, space, desert, etc). I think it was called Horizons!

I loved that one! I always went through the desert! ha ha
There was something with Ford as well with cars....I think it may have been where Test Track is now....
Oh ya, and then there was the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea!
Thank goodness they haven't done anything with the Carousel of Progress or the Great Movie Ride....I'd be so mad! ha ha Total classics!!

 

I Loved the tarzan rocks show, and now its gone.... also,and this is super recent, the stars and motor cars parade.

 

hmmm i know it is still there but i would like the extended backstage tour at dhs, or the timekeeper

 

I love love love the Stars and Motor Cars parade! It was my fav throughout all the parks.... but the new Block Party Parade looks pretty awesome!!

I miss the original backstage tour! I used to love that you saw the different homes!

And I dont know if many people remember this... but before Fantasmic came to the studios... they had a massive inflatable Mickey at the end of the fire work display... dont get me wrong.. i wouldnt tade Fantasmic in for anything... but the inflatable Mickey was pretty cool.

 

I *definitely* miss the extended backlot tour. I also loved the Osborne lights when they had the houses. Again, the Motor Show is *fantastic* and I know they had to take down the houses to fit it in, but the houses looked so pretty covered in lights.

 

Motor cars is SO my fav.
I have so many beautiful pictures that I took from it.

I also forgot about the extended backlot tour!!
I remember seeing the house from Alice in Wonderland.
do you guys remember that? The old live action one on the Family Channel?

Oh my goodness thats ace! She was my fav Snow White... she looked the most like her.

The only house I really remember was George's tree house from George of the jungle.

 

If I could bring back anything it would be:
Cranium Command!
In Epcot... do you any of you remember... it was hilarious and I loved the storyline.. remember all the actors playing the different parts of the boys body.. I loved the two guys in charge of the heart - "We want. to pump you up!".. and the combining of the left and right hemisphere of the brain with Jon Lovitz going all crazy in the right brain!
Man.. I loved that show... damn....
Oh Oh... and the OLD Kodak moment clips shown before Honey I shrunk the Audience... with the song "True Colours" sang by the children in the background as it showed pics from all over the world...
I know those are small... but oh so big in my memories!!!!

I'm agreeing with the person above, definitely the old Kodak film from the preshow of Honey I Shrunk The Audience, that was soo beautiful! I have the song on my ipod at least!

 

i want them to bring back the High School Musical Pep Rally... they still have it but with songs from the 2nd movie, but i preferred the pep rally of the first movie. I think i saw it like 450 times :-X

 

I remember the Golden Girls and Empty Nest houses at the extended Backlot Tour and I totally missed them the last time we were there but there are some really neat things there now too...
The last time we were there, one of the parades were cancelled so they actually turned the Christmas lights on early for all of the guests to see...It's fantastic! So much to see it's crazy! I had never seen anything like it before!

 

Remember the Lion King show at Magic Kingdom? It had puppets and was awesome. Also, if I could bring something else back, I'd want to bring back the old Tiki Room just to watch a couple more times. The new one is neat, but the old one is a classic!

 

Me too! I haven't seen the new one, but HSM2 movie really sucked, so I can't imagine the new pep rally being any good...
