    Hey,

I'm considering applying for the ICP at some point, and I was looking around this site. It says that Possible Roles are -

Quick Service Restaurant, Custodial, Merchandise, Operations, and Entertainment.

What sort of stuff does this involve? What would anyone recommend? Also, what previous experience would I need for any of them? For example, as I'm sure everyone agrees, being a character would be the coolest thing, but I have no experience in acting or dance or anything??

I'm from the UK if that helps

  2. Quick Service is mainly working in the restaurants in the fast food sector.
Custodial is basically a cleaner though you do get a tonne of guest interaction.
Merchandising is just what it says - working in the shops.
Operations is working on the rides and sometimes the possibility of working in the car parks
Entertainment is character work including being the character or being a character attendant.

I don't know much more than this so maybe others who have done the programme previously will be able to give you some more information.

another entertainment role is costuming which sounds rubbish because there's no guest contact and you work backstage BUT i just did it for the summer and it was AWESOME! i worked on the parade dressing the characters and rigging them up on the floats and it was the most fascinating job ever, plus it was such a laugh!
The only thing about costuming though is that you might not be as lucky as me and end up working in the character rooms at the parks where you just build the costumes and do laundry so if youre interested in it, ask for parades or shows!
