I start in April !

Hi !

I start in April (26th). I can't wait to begin the IP. It's like a dream. I'm sure it's gonna be a great year, the best one !!!

However, I have some questions. ???

How are the first days ?
I mean, what do we do ? What happens when you arrive at the Commons ? Do we have free time to visit, to go to Wal-Mart (and buy food, linens, etc.), etc. ?
And what about the following days ? I've read that we have courses and that we have to dress up ? Is that right ? Should I wear an outfit (such as a skirt and a jacket) or could I wear trousers ?

And do we have a lot of free time when we don't work : to go to the pool, to the sports room, to do shopping (love it !!!), to visit and of course, have fun and party (!!!) ?

And I did not read anything about washing machines (for the laundry) ? Do we have one in our appartment ? If we don't, where are they and how much does it cost ?

I have so many questions running through my head...

And it's getting closer !

Im coming in June doing merch!
I dont know all the answers to ur questions but i know the day after we arrive is free to settle in - go shopping etc... Then i think theres a day at disney uni in Mk, then a day at epcot learning the traditions...

Thats cool - ive only been to the airport in Paris unfortunately - i lived in Tours for three months last summer!
Aprils not long to go - u must be so excited - i know i am and ive still got 17 weeks 5 days - not that im counting or anything!

Congratulations!!!
When u arrive at the commons, I guess, we are going trough all the signing papers and contracts and so., They must come on ur package from the recruiter in France.
Then the next day we get Orientation class. U have got to waer business out fit. Yeah u can use a cordinated skirt or pants (suitable for business look) with matching blouse or sweater. or skirt of pants suit.
And business shoes. U will find all the requirement in ur Welcome Guide, (also comes on the package).
Then the second day I am usre we will have some time off to go to Wal Mart and but the stuff we need.
As for days off, I think we have got 2 days off in a week, but they are not alwasy the same days.
The recruiter in Mexico told us that when it is pick season (Summer, Chirstmas) we should not expect days off, as they are over-guested.

Hi Emy!!

Congrats on getting the job! Im leaving from the Uk in March so I guess Ill see you over there!!

I think the first few days are all a bit hectic!! Like the guys have said, the day after you arrive is free to ho to walmart and pick up everything you need and then the following day your contract starts and you have a few classes to go to like traditions etc. You do have to wear business attire for those but it doesnt have to be a suit, you can wear trousers/skirt and a smart blouse/sweater according to me welcome package!!!

Not long to go now - only 32 days for me!!!
