hi there.. :-\ I'll be working in the Norwegian Pavilion, May 5th with Merchandise I have a tattoo from the my shoulder to the lower bicep on my right arm, and I've read on this page <---- "Common Questions" that.. If you get a costume that has short sleeves,I could be in big trouble, and also if I get a manager that takes this VERY seriously, I could be sent straight home?? :'( When I wear a normal long t-shirt, (middle of biceps) you can see around 5cm of my tattoo, its not a thick tattoo, it has 3 small and thin "lines". The thickest of my tattoo is on the shoulder. You can get make up to cover your tattoo. Not sure about the specifics of the make up but there is another topic somewhere on here which has the specifics of what kind of make up you can use.
Ya I don't remember ever seeing short sleeves in the Norway Pav so you should be fine There have been a few threads about this too, here's info I previously posted in similar threads, if worse comes to worse and you feel you do have to cover your ink: I still haven't tried it yet but I promise I will and post pictures!
I think you'll be fine. You might need to wear a tshirt under your shirt if the tattoo show through it (although I doubt it will do). Plenty of folks have tattos and they hide them with make-up or clothing.
well, i was kinda worried about the same thing cause i have a few tattoos. you cant see most of them if you wear "normal" clothes but i also have one on my wrist and one on my neck. so i guess i will always have to wear a watch or bracelet to cover the one on my wrist up. im not quite sure about the one on my neck though. i guess i will always have to wear my hair down in hot florida weather to cover it up. its going to be sooo hot but oh well..nothing i can do about it :-\ are you even allowed to wear your hair down at work our do you have to wear it up? so how about tounge pircings? Anyone knows someone who works at disney who has one? i dont have one but i thought about getting one.
I just wanna say, tattoos on girls is hoot but I can't help you with the hair down thing but I'll check a little around for you
Laura I know loadsa ppl who have worked for disney with their tongues pierced myself included. So technically you are meant to take out your tongue ring for work but to be honest it is difficult to see a tongue ring anyway unless you look very hard. Most of the ones I knew just wore their normal tongue studs but to be on the safe side get yourself a clear or pink stud to make it as not noticeable as poss. And go for it, I LOVE having my tongue pierced
Tattoos on boys are hot too amanda said what I was going to say more or less about tongue rings. But I have heard some managers are pickier than others... So if yours ends up lenient enough, I would go for it too. I used to work at Claire's and sold body jewelry all the time. You can get ones that the balls and even the bars nowadays are close to clear or pink, made just for that, you wanna wear it to work but not to be seen. As long as it isn't a big silver or colourful ball you should be alright I think.
In terms of your tattoo on your wrist I would wear a watch rather than a bracelet as you aren't meant to wear any jewellery unless it is for medical purposes. I.E you can only wear a medical alert bracelet/necklace.
alright, ill remember that. if im not allowed to wear a watch either ill just have to get some make up. @ amanda: ive been thinking about getting my tounge pierced for a while now. i had a lip ring before and totally loved it but i had to take it out because of my job. so i guess ill be better off with a tounge piercing since you hardly see it. i wanna have my tounge piercing so bad. its weird cause i dont like kissing other people who have one. i kissed a guy before he had his piercing AND after he had it done. i thought kissing him without the piercing was so much better. but oh well..i still want to have one myself. i guess the guys who will kiss me will have to deal with it even if they dont like it. haha ;D
I have ink on the back of my neck (a Slipknot tribal S) but as long as I am wearing a collar it should be fine (and we seem to have collars with our UK costumes) Yes indeedy kids, tattoos are both big & clever! More to come in the next few months!
Hell yeah I enjoy slipknot btw I'm definitely getting more tattoos in Miami or Orlando or maybe both places, who knows
