Does anyonw have worked, working or going to work in the historical research centre (uk), thats where i'll be when i fly out next month, can anyone tell me what its like etc etc etc?

Also is there really loads of partying every night?! I mean is there anything else to do at night or not, thats why everyone drinks?

I've never heard of the historical research centre to be honest..

Yeah, there's loads of partying..But if your not the type, you can ask to move to chatham..Where i lived..Where you can hear a pin drop! haha..I liked it that way tho in a way..Because it meant i could party when i wanted to and have peace and quiet when i wanted to..But i tended to go to vista alot..

There's loads of things to do..But there's also loads of partying if thats what you want to do..There's something to do for everyone really..

hrc is a participant company i think so u dont wokr for disney u work for them and thats where ur cheques come from.

i asked at the interview if u got the same benfits but kim said she wasnt sure.

im sure one of the girls who posts on the boards is out working there now tho so she can prob answer the questions better

im not 100% sure but i think its part of the uk pavillion that is run by a seperate company - a bit like some of the restaurants - they are on disney property but are run by seperate people

So, does anyone know if you do get the same benifits working in the HRC as you do working for disney?

I think you get most of the same benefits, but probably not things like Disney's Holiday coupons/bonuses, and I know you pay higher rent for some odd reason (compared to your roomates).

It IS in the UK pavilion for sure.

    thats weird, higher rent

So what about the money, will i get paid more then?

i think you do get paid a bit more. not sure if it's significant enough though!

And I think because you don't actually work FOR disney that you don't get a maingate pass, so you can't get your family/friends in for free. But you've got your own ID so you can.

Some who already work there can enlighten further I'm sure!

OK, cheers for you help, bit shit that i cant get my family and friends in though, as some of them are already planning to come over, oh well! at least i can still go round the parks as much as i want. What about other theme parks like universal studios or Busch gardens or even the Kennedy space centre, do we get any discounts of them?

dont think u get discounts but the anuual passes work out around the same as two ordinary day passes or something stupid so its worth getting them if u are going a lot.

i plan on getting universal and seaworld/busch garden passes

no you don't get anything on the other parks. that's the competition! but sea world currently runs a fun pass which is come back however many times you want all year for the price of a single day admission. only drawback is that it's calendar year, but that still gives you a lot for 70 bucks!

universals two park basic annual pass is 120 dollars so it's cheaper in the long run to get that even if you only spend two days there.

I thought company D had some discounted tickets for Busch Gardens/Sea World last year (not Universal of course).

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought we could get those...

it would be good to get discounts on some of these theme parks, but if we dont, oh well, not the end of the world, to be honest we'll be working at the grestest theme park of them all anyway! So bring it on!!
