Hey guys. I'm going to apply for the CRP in November and was wondering, if all goes well, how long do people wait for their phone interview(?) and their face to face interview after that(?) and then their start date after that? Any information would be great Thank you Aimee ;D
hi, I am also applying in November and been looking at other peoples blogs, usually a good place to start and this forum has a FAQ page which is really useful. I've read they're changing the application this year where you have a group interview first then a a follow up interview. I dont know if they got rid of the phone interview but it seems it. From what I have read it is usually a couple of weeks from application to the interviews. But finding out whether you have actually been accepted can take months. http://www.wdwip.com/smf/index.php?topic=10512.0 this link has a list of blogs of people who have been accepted. Hope that helps. Good Luck =]
Hey Immy, Thank you, i'll check out that link. Good luck to you too Hey ScottishJen, I am applying from England
Hi From the applications closing, for me it was a few days getting the results, and then the pre screening interview was just over a week after results, and then it was about four or five days for the next results, and then two weeks until the F2F interview. We then waited just over three weeks for those results. Those were sent out in early March and some of us were told to wait until the end of June to find out if we'd got a date so we're still waiting Good luck with applying
Hey Stacy! Thank you for your help. It doesn't take them long to do it all then. I thought it took months in between each. I don't think i would be able to handle waiting ages, i'd be thinking all sorts lol. Good luck with your results. Let me know how you get on
Hi everyone I think my biggest advice would be that you need the patience of a saint! Waiting for the results each time felt like months, even though it was still weeks. Lots of people today found out that they have to wait even longer, and might not even be getting start dates until after June 2013- so they've already been waiting for 7 months and now have to wait for at least another year. It's the dream job of a lifetime but bear in mind that it might not be as quick and painless as you originally hoped! I leave 2 weeks tomorrow and my blog tells of the application process etc I will be updating while there! www.andpixie-dust.tumblr.com Elle x
Hey Elle, I have been reading your blog and i love it. It has been very informative and helped me understand the whole application process much more. Thank you
I applied in December 2011, and found out today that I have a leaving date for 9th April 2013. About 16 months between applying and actually getting there! Some people manage to get there a lot faster but for the majority of people theres an extremely annoying/painful wait. The feeling of getting a date though is amazing!!! If you can find other things, small milestones, etc to get through the process then it helps to break it up a bit.
The problem with the application process is that there's no real way of saying how long everything is going to take. The most recent applicants had everything happen very quickly, with less than 2 months between finding out we were through to the group interview to finding out the results of the F2F. The previous round of applications, though, took A LOT longer. I'm hoping for everybody's sake that the most recent applications are going to be the standard for length now, because my first time applying was agonising! Good luck ;D
Hiya Missish From what i have seen on this forum and people's blogs, the whole process has changed and i'm hoping it all happens a lot faster because it must be a very eager wait lol. Thank you! I see you start soon? Congratulations and well done. You must be sooooo excited!! What pavillion will you be working in?
Just want to say there is a lot of waiting..some of us have just found out, after having our F2F interviews in February, we have to wait until August to see if we'll be getting a date. Hopefully it will be worth the wait
That must be a long and frustrating wait but like you say, I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end. Good luck to you, I hope you get a start date
Thankyou Honestly, though, while for some people it may be a long wait (or fairly quickly to the people who got dates straight away ) it is an enjoyable process and you'll make some lovely friends along the way
I can imagine! I'm just excited about applying in November! It would be great to meet loads of friends from all over the world. I hope you have an awesome time. I'm actually excited for everyone who has got their start dates lol
Oh my goodness, it's so weird you saying that I start soon because in my head it's still ages away ... and it's not! I'm actually not that excited because it still feels ages away, but I am definitely getting more of that excitement in my stomach when I think about it now! I'll be in F&B in the UK pavilion
Haha, that is awesome. When is your start date? Yeah, I'm sure you'll be getting more and more excited as the days go on!
