It depends on what you plan on doing :)

around $500 should be enough for first few weeks - you wont get paid much for your first 2 weeks as your first day of paid work is traditions which is the sat after you arrive ( people arrive on tuesday normally) you can expect your first pay check to be around $50 eep

You will need to buy beddin when you arrive - bed in a bag is around $60 (this has everything you need) you will also need top buy a pillow with is like $5

if you dont bring one with you then you will eed to get a lock for ya bedroom lockers thats about $5

your first walmart shop expect to spend around $100 - most people do - you always buy wayyyy too much lol

If you are planning on getting your annual passes to universal and seaworld/busch gardens then you should bring at least $400 for that on top of any oher amount your bringing

Most people eat out a fair a mount in their first 2 weeks as well - you ted to go out for dinner with people form ya arriuval group - hit down town disney etc

You will also need to get ya cell phone which is like $30 plus $30 calling card for it plus most people go through $20 in internatioal calling cards calling home

i know someone who arrived with $300 and they managed okay just - persoally i would aim for $800ish that way u got enough to cover all the stuff you wat to do and a bit left over for emegency's.

I took out $1400 when I went and i didnt need that much but it was nice to have ti as a emergency fund (later became vegas trip lol)

Basically, don't set yourself a target, set yourself a minimum and try to bring as much as you can. It will go. Even if you can't see yourself spending it, you will.

As pinkspideruk said, your first pay cheque will be $63.60 as this is Traditions day and nothing else. Your second pay cheque will vary depending on where you're living and on exactly what shifts you're given to train, but it will be between $90 and $100 as this is also double rent week.

Some people survive only bringing $300 with them, some go through $800 within those first couple of weeks, and that's without buying a Universal Pass! (Fyi - it's really hard to prove you're a Florida Resident and get the discounted rate) My advice is always to bring as much as you can. You will make it be enough.

    thanks for making this thread!!
i was wondering the same thing. i was trying to have about $1500 in savings to bring down with me, but it really depends on how much my flight/insurance is going to cost before hand.
