My start date is June 21 (97 Days!!! SQUEE!) and I was just thinking about the housing and how much it supports poor little Canadians like me who are wimps when it comes to heat. It was 10 c here today and I was wandering around in tank tops and driving with the windows open lol . Basically my question is: Is there air conditioning in the apartments? And does 'O! Canada' keep cool (being a fake mountain and all)?
Hey!! There is definitely air conditioning in the apartments...but you'll have to figure that out with your roommates! One of my friends told me a story about how their roommates liked to crank the heat way up and walk around in towels etc... i never had that problem, but you never know O Canada is also air conditioned..you'll find every building has excessive air conditioning, so when you walk past the doors, without even going inside, you get an insane blast of freezing air! Plus you'll adjust eventually promise! haha
Wow. I'm completely different! I LOVE the heat. It can never be too hot for me. It's the cold I hate.
WHAT?! TEN DEGREES AND IN TANK TOPS!?! maybe it's because i live on the westcoast? i'm in hoodies until it's 25 out. i am so excited for the heat.
Ahh. Thank you Kate, you put my mind at ease I know I'll adjust eventually, I just wish I didn't have to do it in June! 40+ degree with humidity... -shudders- Yup, tank tops. I'm actually from Kelowna, so I don't think the west coast thing has anything to do with it lol.
Honestly, for me (not Canadian or anything though, I am from Norway) the WORST part is how HUMID it is. Absolutely dreadful. The heat is not the issue.. The humidity kills me I'm going June 21st too, btw (I've done the program before, that's why I know of the humidity )
