hey hey! does anyone know roughly how many people are working in each pavillon? i know people are coming and going all the time but what is the number of people in each pavillon? like 50 uk people or wot? anyone know?! x
I know that, at least, for Norway, that number was 120-140 in 2002. Now its 175! But I think 150 would be a good estimate for each pavillion. But it might have changed, I'm not sure. At least the Commons usually houses somewhere between 1000 and 1500 people, all depending on the season. Then again there are, for example, very few people from Morocco living in the Commons for some reason, so then the estimate for each country would be higher. The funny thing is, you always seem to run into the same people at parties.
I know, I couldn't believe what I saw when they needed 175 people. I know they work 8 hours a day, five days a week at 3/4/5 different places, but what could they possibly need that many for???
I heard theres like 30 in uk merch alone and then at least twice as many in f and b... I guess its for all the different shifts Celephais and to account for peoples days off and busy season... not to sure tho one of the alum will know. xxx
Norway is perhaps the country that needs the most cast members for several different reasons. First of all, there's a ride with many positions. At most, there are two outside greeters, tower, load, dispatch, unload, wheelchair assistant, theater. That's 8, plus the fact that you need more people for breaks, bumps, etc. Our ride is the one in the world showcase that requires the most positions, i.e. the most people. Then there's the store, which isn't the biggest in the World Showcase, but definitely big enough to require a good amount of people. I don't know whether the outside cart has been put up again, let's hope not because its hot outside. And the store opens early because of the Princess Breakfast. Which brings me to the restaurant. In 2002 Disney started the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Restaurant Akershus, which became hugely popular. Here you can meet your favourite Disney princesses. And if one of them calls in sick, you might get lucky and have Minnie too! Just now they've decided to make the princess thing an all day event, so that means more guests coming to the restaurant, which means more seaters and servers needed. And in addition to this, we have a beercart and sometimes an ice cream cart. Slightly off topic, but this might give you an idea of how many people there are in the different pavillions, now that I've given you kind of a scale.
